@tmount I was told by so many people that shifting my flights alerts service from hobby (that cost me money) to a Premium & Free version would never work.🤷♂️
There are still people who seem almost offended by me charging for my work but that's life.
@rbphilip Yeah, I see people pay here and there but not often in the points space.
I think it's why creators focus on affiliates, brand deals/sponsored content, and ads.
Creates an odd dynamic in which creators try to earn a living - often without their audience realizing it.
I've had a lot of conversations with other points creators about earning a living recently.
One thing that I keep hearing is how they're trying to find ways to get anyone other than their audience members to pay.
@runwithmiles 100%. I'm very much the outlier and was told by a bunch of longtime/successful bloggers my model wouldn't work.
I can't put my finger on it exactly, but there's something about creating content and making a living without the audience realizing or noticing that's odd to me.
