Nearly twice as many Jews were forced to flee Arab countries as Arabs fled the war in 1948.
More than 820,000 Jews were expelled or fled from Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Syria, and Lebanon. Most left with only the clothes on their backs or with a suitcase if they were lucky. There was no “right of return.” There was no UNRWA for their grandchildren to perpetuate refugee status and collect aid. Israel took in 590,000 penniless refugees and gave them citizenship and new lives.
Through 2005, at least 115 UN General Assembly resolutions on this conflict named Palestinian refugees. Zero named the Jews from Arab countries.
Most of the Arabs who fled their own war of aggression in 1948 moved a few miles away and remained in Arab land where the same language was spoken and the same religion was practiced. Most of the Jewish refugees crossed an ocean of hostility into a country the size of New Jersey where they had to live in tents waiting for fledgling Israel to build them housing.
Yet we still constantly hear about “nakba” and “Palestinian refugees” nearly 80 years later. Once you realize they were purposefully kept as refugees to be a weapon in the forever war against Israel’s existence, things start to make sense.
@tparsi Awwwww, maybe they shouldn’t have housed terrorists. Why aren’t they allows into other Arab countries? Because they are a cancer to any society they enter
@IssaMeAnthony@mitchgarber not unemployed, just full of shit. Oh btw, throw out your phone. It may have a Palestinian flag sticker on the casing, yet it has Israeli intelligence inside.
@elonmusk My tesla model s just died. Tesla provided a replacement battery under warranty just over 4 years ago. Do tesla batteries die after just 4 years? And now to replace is more than tesla offered me for the car just the week before. Is this an unspoken truth?
