From 2017 – 2021, #DMK didn’t merely oppose the AIADMK Govt. but it along with its loonies actively opposed major infrastructure projects that could have transformed Tamil Nadu.

The Chennai – Salem Greenfield Expressway, 8-lane highways and other critical connectivity projects faced intense political opposition & protests, driven more by political calculations than development concerns.

The irony today is glaring: many of the very infrastructure projects DMK opposed then are precisely what Tamil Nadu needs now.

And look at Parandur:

DMK Govt. identified Parandur in July 2022, sanctioned land acquisition in October 2023, obtained Site Clearance only in August 2024 and In-Principle Approval in April 2025. Yet, nearly four years after identifying the site, not a single airport construction work had begun & precisely that’s why the project has now been scrapped now by CM #Vijay !

If only the #DMK Govt. had prioritised acquiring the required land and executing the project instead of delaying it, the situation today could have been very different.

We all know that DMK delayed it just to acquire nearby lands for its own benamies.

It is easy to scrap a project when not even the construction has begun.

Kerala is approaching Delhi to stop Mangaluru from coming under South Western Railway.

Read that again.

For years, Mangaluru’s railway network generated huge revenue for Palakkad Division - with more than half of its ₹1,650+ crore annual revenue reportedly coming from the Mangaluru region, largely driven by New Mangalore Port freight.

But what did Mangaluru get in return?

Limited new trains, delayed infrastructure, constant struggles for doubling and better Bengaluru/Mumbai connectivity - while Mangaluru-origin services were repeatedly extended deeper into Kerala.

Now, when Mangaluru is finally being brought under South Western Railway’s Mysuru Division, Kerala is approaching the Centre to stop it.

This isn’t about Kerala vs Karnataka.

It is about one simple question:

If Mangaluru’s railway revenue was so important to Palakkad, why wasn’t Mangaluru’s railway development given the same importance?

Mangaluru deserves a railway system that works for Mangaluru and Karnataka. ❤️💛

Dear @chennaicorp @chennaipolice_

Vehicle TN-11-AW-0958, reportedly belonging to a resident of 4th Main Road Extension, Kottur Gardens, Kotturpuram, Chennai 600085, is allegedly being used to feed stray dogs across Kottur Gardens every evening between 8 and 9 PM.

This appears to be in violation of the Hon'ble Supreme Court's directions and the feeding locations designated by the Greater Chennai Corporation.

The consequences are serious:

1. An area that had only a few stray dogs until recent years now reportedly has 30+ dogs, posing a serious risk to residents, particularly children and the elderly.

2. Regular feeding has made the dogs dependent on human intervention and reduced their natural ability to fend for themselves.

3. Others are reportedly abandoning dogs in the area, knowing that they will be fed.

4. Dog faeces and urine are creating unhygienic conditions throughout the streets.

5. If the feeding suddenly stops, the dependent dogs could suffer or starve, creating an animal welfare issue as well.

We therefore request @chennaicorp @chennai to verify the matter and take appropriate action against unauthorised feeding, in accordance with the applicable Supreme Court directions and GCC regulations.

Failing appropriate action, we will be constrained to place these facts before the Hon'ble Madras High Court in Suo Motu WP No. 23656 of 2026.

Public safety, sanitation and animal welfare must all be protected.

One car parked in the middle of the road turned a normal 5 min journey into more than 30 minutes.

Everyone knows how narrow Perumbakkam-Nookampalayam Road is. Having a party flag on your car does not give you the right to block half the road and disturb the entire area.

There is no pride in this only inconvenience to the public. This kind of political arrogance must stop.

Seriously, people are losing patience with this kind of behaviour. TVK must introduce strict rules and clear protocols for its members and take action against those who violate them. Otherwise, this will damage the party’s reputation very badly.

I have been pursuing this Political and Business Bucanneer for the past 15 years over a case of open and shut fraud

As telecom minister Maran, the bucanneer, installing a 1000 line secret Telephone exchange case in his home in the name of the Regional Manager of BSNL unknown to the system was a famous expose by me in the New Indian Express in 2010

He was using it for uplinking Sun TV progs and benefitting hundreds of crores. The secret phones were also national security breach as they could make any call to anyone without being monitored. At that time the DMK was in love relation with the biggest national security risk the LTTE

But the buccaneer with his money political power and media power delayed a case which could he completed in months by a decade

This is the 7th time the buccaneer telecom minister went to the supreme court to quash and/or delay the CBI probe into the fraud exposed in 2010

The case was investigated in 2007 by an honest inspector of CBI who used to go by scooter from Beasant Nagar to Shastry Bhavan in Chennai. He risked his life and asked for permission to file FIR.

But the UPA govt of which the DMK was a constituent prevented the CBI from registering FIR

I had to file a writ in Supreme court in 2014 to direct the CBI to file FIR

The buccaneer went to the High coourt and then to Supreme Court and almost got the case quashed with the then Attorney General almost colluding with them

The AG who had given opinion to govt that the secret phones were in breach of national security conceded in the court contrary to it

I had to write a scathing article to expose the Attorney

During the hearing then CJI even said it is after all 1.72 cr cable laying expenses and that can be paid by Marans and the case closed.

Then I wrote an article saying that it is not a case of cable laying expenses but secret telephone exchange of over 1000 lines installed at the ministers home and used for uplinking Sun TV progs (for which a secret cable laid at a cost of 1..72 cr) the benefit in which would be hundreds of crores

I also reminder the Supreme court that just months before the court had confirmed sentence on a clerk for accepting a bribe of Rs 265 declaring that corruption should not be tolerated

I wrote that if a clerk has to go jail for a bibe of rs 265 the higher the stature of the corrupt greater should be the punishment

That attempt to quash the case failed and the charges were framed.

Then a pliable trial court first discharged them.

I scathingly attacked the trial court order as perverse

The Madras High court set aside the perverse order and the buccaneer minister went to the supreme court.

The supreme court asked them to face the trial

They delayed the trial by several years and now the trial is over and all witnesses had been examined.

Then the buccaneer began another round of litigation to delay the trial by getting Madras HC to order that the present telecom secy be summoned as court witness .. an absolutely untenable order

The CBI came in appeal to the SC against that order and shockingly the AG who appeared for the CBI earlier appeared for the buccaneer!

Then in a detailed article the OpIndia recounted the whole case from the start and the role of the then AG and now Maran counsel

After the OpIndia article the then AG didn't appear in the case

The SC finally told Maran that the telecom secy may be called not as court witness but as defence witness.

What is the difference

If he is a defence witness his statements will be admissible against the accused

Not if he is a court witness

They will now.probably not call the telecom secy as defence witness

Hopefully the trial will conclude soon and justice will be done

....20 years after the fraud was discovered by CBI but blocked by UPA

....16 years after it was exposed by me in the New Indian Express

...12 years after the legal battle began
