usually if ppl have few/no friends it’s bc they struggle w/ social skills, depression, or have a busy schedule. none of those are moral failings. however I find it consistent that highly manipulative & selfish ppl are often charismatic & have huge friend groups who enable them
IRL, the men women fall hard for aren’t the instant attraction models and billionaires. It’s the 5ft 10 guy working in accounts who is the best dancer in her salsa class, the normal funny dude who she keeps meeting at the dog park, and the cool lawyer who wears nice suits to PTA meetings. Usually it’s accumulative and super ordinary.
Women don’t open with: “Hello, male. I wish to engage in sex and romance with you on account of your looksmaxxed face.”
They initiate with:
“How do you know Sarah?”
“Your dog is so cute!”
“Do you work in events?”
“How amazing is this cake?”
“Hey, I just started in accounts”
Incels seem to imagine dating is:
1. See attractive stranger.
2. Approach stranger.
3. Declare sexual interest.
4. Receive instant girlfriend.
It’s more like:
1. Meet someone.
2. Talk.
3. See them again.
4. Talk more.
5. Realise you find them attractive.
6. Discover shared interests/goals.
7. Flirt a bit.
8. One of you suggests meeting up.
9. 1-5 more times.
10. Sex/Relationship.
@girlfromsouthie@LizzyStarrrdust Keep in mind passive vs. assertive vs. aggressive.
Not too hot, not too cold, just right.
Like playing a video. You manage to have it neither at a whisper nor a shout, just at the volume you need.
There's a special place in hell for women who are unnecessarily cruel to men trying to flirt with them that they aren't interested in.
If a scraggly retarded uggo little puppy comes up to nuzzle your leg all sweetly, you don't kick it.
You go "aww sweet dog, okay I got to go now."
It's not easy putting yourself out there and risking embarrassment and rejection. Ladies, don't be mean to these guys. They're trying their best.
Autistic person: “I spent years studying people like a subject.”
Friend: “because you were autistic?”
Autistic person: “Because I thought everyone else received instructions for being human except me.”
@texasrunnerDFW@RationalManTX Back in the 1980s maybe also later, so I'm told, a favorite cheer of Plano High's opponents was "Kill Plano before they kill themselves."
Plano was that notorious for teen suicide.
please normalize letting people eat their lunch alone if they want and decompressing for 30 min without the pressure of being considered antisocial in the workplace.
@DiaryofaSickGrl I was a shitty person back then *and* because of Asperger Syndrome I did things some thought were shitty.
That was in the 1980s. I've grown logarithmically since then.
