@JustAC4t@Occultjourneys@GoodTroubleShow I appreciate that, I'm sure the hack was more involved. I'm just saying it's a good opportunity to remind people also to enable 2FA. When these hacks are reposted, I notice no one ever mentions this as a basic PSA. It can save heartache for many. I don't have the reach to do it.
@JustAC4t@Occultjourneys@GoodTroubleShow With your reach, why don't you just tell people straight out to enable Two-Factor Authentication?

@chrisramsay52 Seriously, EVERYONE should have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled! Download 2FAS, Authy, or Google Authenticator on your phone. Then go to X 'Settings' -> 'Security and account access' -> 'Security' -> 'Two factor authentication', and follow the steps.
RIP Kavinsky, one of the giants of French Touch and Synthwave. Best known for hist iconic song 'Nightcall' featured in the film 'Drive'. My fave though was his song 'Testarossa Autodrive', which channelled 80s pop culture perfectly.
What are the mechanics of "telepathy"?
- Does signal strength fall off with distance?
- Omnidirectional or directed?
- Can you target 1 person and exclude another nearby?
- Do transmissions interfere?
- What blocks it?
- Can reception be refused?
- Can a 3rd party eavesdrop?
@dribble_em@NeonGenesisSc True. I don't remember a reason in the movie for why the telephone poles with the missing posters were in the backrooms. I could say that Mary saw them on the way to the furniture shop, but again that would just be my own theory. Half the fun is working out how the lore works.
@NeonGenesisSc I could answer my own question I guess with a theory: We see the interrogation room and Mary in it replicated in the back rooms because in the sequel she goes back in and that memory is read. So it's a hint that a sequel is on the way and she'll play a part in it.
@NeonGenesisSc The backrooms seem to mimic or replicate the memories of those who have entered it (and replicate them as well) on top of the endless office space 'base template'. However... If Mary left, how is the interrogation room replicated as a memory, if it happened after she exited?
There may or may not be "objective reality", but no one has direct access to it. Each person only has their own subjective view. And for the majority of reality one can't experience directly, one relies on other's narrative shaping of their subjective view. So, reality is a mess.
@The_Astral_@Support@X I love how everyone reports on this, and comments on this, yet no one points out how to avoid this. Basically setup two-factor authentication (or Passkeys if you know how to) immediately! It's 2026 ffs: https://t.co/Lce5QBC3ER

@bobofango86@chrisramsay52 It’s paywalled if you select SMS as the authentication method. Select the authenticator app method and install one of the apps I recommended.
