@BoswellDoug Unfortunate Trump doesn’t really care about the people. So cutting the power just wouldn’t have the impact one would hope. Now, cutting off oil supply, that’s a different story
@Tablesalt13 Pierre’s talking points and presentation don’t land with the centric voter.
He has the right voters lock in. But he needs a way to capture the centre other than Liberal bad, immigrants bad, Canada broken.
@Grant2k25@mario4thenorth It was approved by Obama, and endorsed by Trump in his first term. Border agents on both sides were hired and in place prior to the cancelled ribbon cutting. The only thing that changed was Trump received $1M to stop the opening.
@JonFraserTF@LCBO They get the publicity of making the donation to the pride organization. No different than Loblaw’s, Empire, Walmart, Costco, etc. the patrons, should the meet min donation threshold can ask for a receipt for a tax deduction in all cases.
@MarcNixon24 Please, I can think of plenty others biggest embarrassments other than the ability to speak a second language….
Like losing a guaranteed landslide election is the first one to come to mind.
@neon_neophyte@glass_stickman@hardyrenos And instead of adjusting them back down, now that supply chains are back up and running like they should, they’ve left them high and are now offering ridiculously long loan terms to ease the pain.
@MarcNixon24 I mean the tariffs were part of it, but the main part of it all was the 51st state remarks. You had a foreign power talking about taking over. That’s the bulk of why the booze was pulled, and why majority of Canadian are avoiding travel to the US for pleasure.
@MelissaLMRogers Why go to Dunkin, when you could go to probably one of a dozen or so local café/coffee shops in your hometown? Supporting those folks keeps money in the community, instead of it being funnelled out to foreign private equity firms.
In what world is Cody Ware a fucking All-Star?!?
Talented sure, you have to be to drive one of those cars. But to say he’s an all-star does a disservice to past winners of the event.
@trainofangels00 I’m picking neither.
Choosing independently owned and operated local coffee shops. Their profits stay 100% in the communities they’re in, instead of being parsed out through large equity firms.
