A local bra manufacturer has gone bust, a submarine company has gone under, a manufacturer of food blenders has gone into liquidation, a dog kennel has had to call in the retrievers and a company supplying paper for origami enthusiasts has folded. ANNIVERSARY APPEAL - JAMES PATRICK GREALIS

James Patrick Grealis was 24 years old when he went missing on 23 October 2008 from Breda in Holland. He is a carpenter from Achill, Co. Mayo in Ireland and had gone to live and work in the Netherlands in April 2007.

Having been laid off from his job in Eindhoven on 17 October, James travelled to Breda to look for work as he was familiar with the area. The last confirmed sighting was when he checked out from a hostel in Breda on 23 October.

Described as 5ft 8in in height and of slim build with broad shoulders, James has red wavy hair and blue eyes. He always wears a T-shirt and hooded sweaters with jeans and has a habit of walking with his sleeves over his hands.

The Grealis family has travelled to the Netherlands frequently over of the years, performing their own searches, putting up posters and to gain media interest. They hired a private detective and in 2010 offered a substantial reward, all to no avail.
