Joint Master of the Cotswold Vale Farmers Hunt, Nathan Goulding was found guilty on Friday 20th Feb 2026 at Cheltenham Magistrates Court, for assault and battery, when he used his horse to assault two female hunt sabs during a fox hunt on 21st January 2026.

He was sentenced to a 6 month conditional discharge, and costs of £676.

Hunts should know that the days of assaulting sabs with impunity from the law are over, and that the internet has a very long memory.

Well done to Welsh Border Hunt Sabs for pursuing this conviction.

Another benefit for the hounds is that they will not be killed, crossing roads, railways, etc, whilst accidentally chasing wildlife!
