@Navatoast@emeriticus Those have underperformed because even the average consumer thinks they're trash
It has nothing to with with basement dwellers on twitter. They're just sub par products
@lamine141@gr8_rebellion I don't mind it when it's slightly
. I like to feel stronger and keep a challenge. I hated how when I replayed fo3 I could just kinda ruin any enemy with a combat shotgun at level 5, yet they had the same ttk at guns 100 at level 30
@Aerialvas@NobodyIsOurGuy I think if the city were a bit more expansive with less metros it would be more fondly remembered. Personally I think the best parts of 3s map are in the wilderness
@NobodyIsOurGuy I don't think 3 really meets 1/2 atmosphere. It has the problem of no real civilisation or rebuilding. 1 had major trade hubs and routes. Farmlands
3 has people living in a shanty town by a bomb and a rusted boat.
@user__NULL I've been wondering, what actually happens if someone tries to copyright something that isn't technically public domain, but is a non copyrighted large scale collaboration? Are they just fucked?
@heelhams@0xTurd@RazorwireRPG Can't imagine that would be too appealing considering the gameplay of fallout isn't far removed from the outer worlds. Remove the RPG aspects and they're sub par FPS games
@joefr00mnewwse It's just disheartening knowing theres so much cool stuff that could be done but they're content to just kill characters off and treat it as a throwaway joke. Smarter writers could have mined some gold comedy from Lucy and the kings but instead they're just ghouls and get shot
@kunaiposting That one really made me aware of just how many Americans just do not want to listen to any sort of reasoning or explanation and just want to punch down.
@Foojack220@ChrisAvellone I will say as much as I enjoyed the companions the humour did begin to wear thin after a while. I kept expecting the game to subvert my expectations but it never did.
@Foojack220@ChrisAvellone The actual RPG variety of dialogue choices and such in OW1 were great. Some bizarre niche combos you could do. Imo the issue was the world felt static and dead (avowed too) and the gameplay was dull due to boring perks and a lack of enemy/weapon variety.
@_prism_a_@ChrisAvellone I think the issue there was that people didn't realise it wasn't left 4 dead they actually cared about. It was l4d2, which was almost entirely in house valve
@StimyCheck@ChrisAvellone Gonna ruin it for you but 99% of sales are made up by general audiences who don't even notice this shit and proceed to enjoy the game.
@HerohammerHHS@ChrisAvellone He announced he'd moved back on his YouTube channel (and it wasn't fallout). He seemed really excited so it's sad to hear this project may have been canned.
@scabbyscavver@RazorwireRPG Sawyer and Gonzalez are definitely the most important players, I think Avellone not being there is a loss but he and obsidian are a closed case at this point. Id love it of Boyarsky were involved. I think that's got a higher chance than Cain.
