Honored to open a new @UVRIug@NIH Virology lab in Entebbe, an example of ongoing ๐บ๐ธ support for building locally driven research capacity. This lab will ๐ช ๐บ๐ฌโs capacity to understand endemic zoonotic diseases & develop countermeasures to prevent disease transmission in ๐บ๐ฌ & ๐.
A new Virology Laboratory has been opened by UVRI in collaboration with @NIH at the campus in Entebbe. The primary focus of this research laboratory will be on vector-borne zoonotic pathogens via a โOne Healthโ concept that incorporates human and veterinary health considerations.
