What a privilege it is to afford a gym, buy healthy food, pay bills, have legs that walk, eyes that see, a brain that functions, work every day, and take our bodies to their full potential.
fuuuuck i just realized that the future idealized version of myself cant exist without current me being the catalyst for change and doing hard things. has anybody heard about this
how to life maxx more:
> get off your phone
> say yes to spontaneous plans even when you're tired - some of the best nights are unplanned
> talk to strangers - at coffee shops, events, literally anywhere. serendipity maxx
> make a bucket list and work your way through said bucket list!!
> stop opting for boring hangs. switch things up with your friends. try something new!!
> start a random hobby just for fun - pottery, dance, improv, cooking. not everything needs to "be productive" ok??
> be 5% more silly in your life. dance in your room, sing badly in the car, crack a bad joke. it's not that serious. grow the silly muscle
> surround yourself with people who make you feel lighter - your time and energy is precious
> don't forget the basics: move your body, get sunlight, take your vitamins, eat well, sleep
> your time to live life is happening NOW so stop saving it for later!!
we forgot that life is supposed to be FUN ya'll
lets go PLAY!!!
the best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. go outside, try new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, speak to people, ask questions, side quest.
the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.
this quote from Carl Jung hits so hard:
"Do not compare, do not measure. No other way is like yours. All other ways deceive and tempt you. You must Fullfill the best way that is in you."
gym before work no matter how early. reduce all friction to working out. Pay any amount of money to go to the closest nicest gym to you. Do body weight exercises and run sprints when time constrained. Cook all of your food. Treat yourself like a professional athlete
get back into it. whatever it is; the gym, your art, your studies, that book you haven’t finished, that project you shelved. whatever you weren’t ready for then, you’re ready for now.
