When Che Guevara was captured in his hiding place, after being betrayed by a shepherd, one of the soldiers asked him surprisingly: How can you betray a man who has spent his whole life defending you, you and your rights? The shepherd replied calmly: His fight against the enemy frightened my sheep!
Many years ago, in Egypt, the Grand Commander Mohamed Karim had led the resistance against Napoleon's total military campaign. When he was captured, the court sentenced him to death. But Napoleon called him and told him: I regret having to kill a man who bravely defended his country. I don't want history to remember me as a hero assassin. I will forgive you if you pay 10,000 gold coins for the losses suffered by my army. Mohamed Karim laughs and replies: I don't have that much money, but the merchants owe me more than 100,000 gold coins. Napoleon gave him a break. Karim went to the market, chained up and surrounded by soldiers guarding him, hoping that those he had sacrificed himself for would help him. But no merchants responded. On the contrary, they accused him of being the cause of the destruction of Alexandria and their crisis. He went back to Napoleon, morally broken. Napoleon then said to him: - I will not kill you because you fought against us, but because you sacrificed your life for a cowardly people, who prefer trade to freedom. Mohamed Rashid Rida summarized this way: "He who fights for an ignorant people is like one who immolates himself by fire to light the way for the blind."

People often ask me one question when I criticise modi jee if not modi jee then who and my answer for the last 10 years is the same .
That person is rahul gandhi.
It is he who will cause the eventual fall of Modi jee and that day is not far .
When a large section of literate indian used to call him pappu even then my answer was the same that one day this pappu will dethrone modi jee .
Rahul may not be a demagogue ,he may not be a great orator but he will be a good PM because he is humble ,a good and patient listener ,honest and best part is that he knows his limitations .he knows that he does not know everything and is always willing to learn and unlearn .
He is an avid reader .and for me his best part is that he is left to the centre like me .
India should give him one chance and india will give him one chance.
My political views are at least 10 years ahead of the times .
In 2013-14 when Modi jee was being hailed as a new messiah I was against him and told everybody not to vote for him .
I write a facebook post everyday covering everything banking economics politics etc .my views at that time were disliked by the majority of the people and even my comrades were unhappy with me for writing against Modi jee and few even left my federation due to that .
But I kept on warning that modi jee will be disastrous for the country in general and bankers in particular.and majority of those who were not happy then for writing against Modi jee are today in agreement with MD that I was right then and they were wrong .
On this auspicious occasion of #KrishnaJanmashtami2025 and Gopalkala, the @fboioa_india extends its warmest wishes to you and your loved ones.
The life of Lord Krishna is a timeless epic of courage, wisdom, and compassion. As a banker we have many lessons to be learnt from him as young Krishna fearlessly subdued the venomous serpent Kaliya, he reminds us that we must confront and overcome the challenges and negativity in our own lives. His playful yet profound act of lifting the Govardhan Hill to protect his people from Indra's wrath, teach us the importance of unity, devotion, and protecting our people.
May we be inspired by these divine lessons to face our obstacles with strength, act with integrity in our professional lives. May the blessings of Lord Krishna fill your life with love, peace, and prosperity.
Wishing you a joyous and blessed celebration!
Harassment in Indian Overseas Bank
A young Probationary Officer raised genuine concerns about targets & mental pressure.
Instead of listening, GM Sanjay Kumar Singh took it as an ego hit and issued a fake “misconduct” notice for allegedly saying: “Tumhare paas dimaag nahi hai”
Ask ourself- will a probationer dare say that to a GM in a branch meeting?
This is not about language? No, Never. It’s about silencing dissent.
- No inquiry, No witness
- Just a top-down ego trip.
@IOBIndia must answer:
- Is this how you treat honest young officers?
- Is GM Sanjay Kumar Singh’s ego more important than truth?
- Will @MDIOB, @RBI and @DFS_India take action or remain silent?
We stand with this officer.
No more silent exploitation.

#WATCH | During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the House, Congress MP Praniti Shinde says, "... Operation Sindoor was nothing but a 'tamasha' of the government in the media. No one is telling us what was achieved in this Operation. How many terrorists were caught? How many fighter jets did we lose? Who is responsible and whose mistake is this, should be answered by the government..."
Demanding senior management, impatient customers, long working hours & ambitious targets for 3rd party sales besides garnering deposits, giving loans & recovery of bad loans. Not every branch manager can survive & thrive. What they need? Latest #BankersTrust in @bsindia
These unrealistic targets driven banking is killing bankers which is further aggravated by uncouth senior officers who have got promotion to higher post by default.whole banking sector has become a toxic place where nobody wants to join as an employee.and unfortunately majority officers associations in every PSB is failing to protect officers from marauding top bosses because of seeking favours from the same management for their chosen few .
And probably BOB and SBI are having the worst work culture among PSB .

It’s not just SUICIDE. It’s organised MURDER.
@bankofbaroda has normalised verbal abuse.
🎯 Inhuman targets.
😡 Speak up? Silenced. Stay quiet? You break.
💣 How many more suicides will it take?
💀 Who writes the next note?
This isn't an isolated case. it's a systemic cruelty masked as “performance.”
📩 I’ve sent my email.
It’s our duty to send thousands.
I did my part. Will you stay silent? Or will you speak up too?

Tragic News from Baramati, Maharashtra
Shivshankar Mitra, Senior Manager at Bank of Baroda (Bhigwan Road branch), died by suicide inside the branch premises.
In his note, he cited severe work pressure as the reason for his extreme step.He expressed a wish to donate his eyes — even in death, showing deep compassion.
Such heartbreaking incidents are becoming alarmingly frequent across banks.
How long will the system ignore the human toll of unchecked workload and pressure?

It's a matter of great satisfaction that Bank of India could post an increase in operating profits of 34.1% whereas the peers saw huge decline in their operating profits. The reduction of our market share is worrisome.
If anybody including Top Executives of any Bank thinks that “ Bank Officers” are slaves then he should read and understand the ramifications of exploiting the employees working under them. They have no powers to override the Constitutional Protection.
