Today the students were introduced to text features and I was able to jump in and introduce some of the features to the whole class, which was a good learning experience for me! 👩🏻‍🏫 the students seem to know more than I did about labeling text features…😅 it’s been awhile #EDU310

This week I got to learn more about “scholar dollars” in my classroom. Scholar dollars are money that students can earn through good behavior, being prepared and ready to go on time, being a good classmate and helping out their peers, and the list goes on! So fun! 💸💰#EDU310

During morning announcements, students do a “power pose” and repeat sayings to motivate them for the day, such as “I am worthy, I am smart, I have potential” and more. I think this is a great way to set the tone for a good learning day! #EDU310

Today the students worked on the elements of plot while reading a super cute story called “Max” and they seemed so excited about it. They definitely seem to enjoy their reading time more than their math activities, and personally, so did I! 📖 #EDU310

@AleDualLang Hey Alejandra! She tells the kids they should be at a zero, which lets the kids know that their voices should be off. It seems to work very well for them!

After completing my first week of observations I noticed how well behaved the students are, for the most part. The classroom rules seem to be very well known by all students making it more structured and enjoyable, which is awesome! #EDU310

I’ve really been enjoying working with students one on one and in small groups. It’s interesting to see and hear the different thought processes of the students when they’re completing their multiplication facts and word studies. #EDU310
