As the Kirk Cousins era comes to a close in Minnesota, I didn't want us to forget all of the great moments he brought us, so here's a little tribute video to commemorate some of them. Farewell and Godspeed, Kirk
@PurpyNFL They were 9th in defensive DVOA (factors in quality of opponent) going into this game.
The defense has always had meh personnel that were just propped up by Flo’s scheme. Good offenses can usually come out on top when that’s the case
@jurg1sam@ThisHighUp@kellyinvegas Congress has the power of the purse. They pass the budget every year which allocates money to all of these departments. The executive branch isn’t granted any power by the constitution to remove or amend laws passed by congress. For that reason, it’s unconstitutional
Here’s 3 years of KOC offenses by EPA/play:
2022 - 18th
2023 - 18th (11th with Kirk)
2024 - 14th
He hasn’t cracked the top 10 with offensive personnel that has a ton of weapons. I think it’s fair to criticize him at this point
No.
Try this instead.
KOC went on Top Chef and was given a can of SPAM, some green olives and a 9-iron. And he cooked a 14-win masterpiece.
Imagine what he'll cook if you give him REAL ingredients. A QB. Some upgrades in the trenches.
There’s a lot of talk about Darnold being propped up by JJ, Addison and Hock. Are we sure KOC isn’t also being propped up by those guys? Feel like he’s totally been outcoached in this 2nd half
@NicholasMMiller For sure, the rookie contract on its own will give you the most flexibility. If we really want to juice this roster up through FA with Darnold at the helm though, extension is the way to go.
@thorku needs to take a good long look in the mirror. He’s become what he once hated, a blind zealot for a player, ignoring all evidence that might be contrary to his initial beliefs
"Let's throw away the future so that we can pay him for the statistical manifestation of his circumstance, it's not going to happen" 🙅♂️
- @thorku on the possibility of extending Sam Darnold
