@UofGInfoStudies So sad to hear this. Johanna was an inspiring teacher who was endlessly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, supportive, and encouraging. Spending even a short amount of time with her on Zoom was a privilege. Thoughts are with her family, friends, and colleagues 🕯️
So disappointed that Alasdair isn’t mentioned in this trailer…sadly we aren’t involved and have no agency within this…hoping we can at least organise a Glasgow screening so we can all watch it together, then discuss in the pub after… who’s in?!
Delighted to have visited the @AGrayArchive today!
Wonderful to hear about the artist’s musings, his extensive book collection and Glasgow’s history as it lived in Alasdair’s vision 💙
Did anyone know that Alasdair’s wife, Morag was a librarian? ⭐️

Happy St. Andrew’s Day from all of us @AGrayArchive
Here is a design of a figure with thistle that Alasdair used to great effect in the internal pages of ‘Songs of Scotland’ which he illustrated and was edited by his friend Wilma Paterson

The House of Lords is voting on Part 10 of the #PolicingBill that will increase discrimination against Black men.
Liberty and @JENGbA are calling on Peers to stand up for equality and justice and block these measures. https://t.co/FCn761xK1b
today, the house of lords votes on part 10 of the policing bill which creates "serious violence reduction orders".
these orders can be imposed on people on the basis of previous convictions and those in receipt of one can be subject to ongoing suspicionless stop + searches...
Happy graduation to top archive helper @staceyanders0n

The modern library is moving away from this model in many ways; it is becoming more of a community center, where those who want to read or study quietly can still usually find a room, and fines are well on their way to being eliminated. https://t.co/xG7gBpBoUW #publiclibraries
