🚨BREAKING : Dr Siti Hasmah, wife of ex-PM Mahathir Mohamad, has passed away at the age of 100.

She was one of Malaysia’s earliest Malay women doctors, beginning her medical career in the mid-1950s and later championing maternal health, literacy, drug abuse prevention and mental health.

Kami mengenali Almarhumah sebagai Kak Hasmah, seorang yang lembut tutur katanya, namun tabah dan kuat jiwanya, malah sentiasa mengambil berat tentang orang di sekelilingnya dengan kasih sayang seorang ibu.

Hari ini, negara kehilangan sosok keibuan yang dekat di hati rakyat. Sementalahan, kami akan mengenang Kak Hasmah dengan rasa kasih yang mendalam, bersama segala jasa dan kebaikan yang ditinggalkannya.

Saya dan Azizah merakamkan setulus takziah kepada Tun Dr Mahathir serta seluruh keluarga, dan mendoakan semoga Allah SWT mengampuni Almarhumah, menerima segala amal baktinya serta mengurniakan ketabahan kepada mereka yang ditinggalkan.
