It’s protected by the Atlantic and the Pacific, the United States military, the rule of law. When we give you a United States dollar, you can do whatever you want with it. You can start a business, you can buy a home, you can send it to Switzerland. You can do all these things.

That’s not true in a lot of countries. You’re not going to take a reserve currency where the government decides what you can do with it… which is China. China has capital controls.

China will become more of a reserve currency, other countries might, but we will still be the predominant one as long as we maintain the predominant economic position in the world. And that is predicated also on the military position.”
