@KyleCoroneos I'm a little surprised it took this long. The Killers released a cover of "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town" in 2007 (recorded 2 or 3 years earlier) and "The Cowboys' Christmas Ball" in 2011.
@lordofthemarsh@tuuu28283 Similarly, the only person I have ever heard mention Guam was my father, who was stationed there during WWII. I have no idea what it would be like to visit.
@LagomProphet@tanpukunokami Yes, there are at least 5 generations of people named Robert in my grandmother's family. I go by Robert and relatives went by Bob, Bobby, and even Robin. It is similar with William. Some use Bill or Billy or other to differentiate when there are so many Williams in the family.
I saw a young melanistic deer on my walk today. The mother deer was normal color. Melanistic whitetails are rare, but this part of Texas has more than anywhere else. Even here, they're uncommon. I have seen them just a few times.
@ShelbyLeeLowe Wilford Brimley also made an album with Riders in the Sky that's worth checking out. There's also a few videos of him singing with them: https://t.co/zewX30Y4ly
@japan_nobunaga When I moved from Alabama to Texas, the biggest difference I noticed was in taxes. Alabama has state income tax, while Texas has none. Alabama has very low property tax, while Texas has high property tax.
@japan_nobunaga I grew up about one mile from Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium when Coach Bryant was at Alabama. When I was in college (1991 graduate), the city's population was less than the stadium capacity. The city is larger now.
@Kristinartz Ham is good, plus pearl onion, mushroom, and pimentos and a bit of black pepper and red pepper. If you have just a bit of coffee, then even that adds a nice depth of flavor, like red eye gravy.
@KyleCoroneos I saw him perform in Nashville at CMA - good fiddle-and-steel country. Here's a quote during his set: "We really appreciate you coming out on this hot day to come see us and support real country music, 'cause that's what we're trying to do down here."
