I don’t care what anyone says, Hurricane Milton was NOT overhyped.

This narrative that “oh, it was only a cat 3”, or “oh, only two of my branches fell down in my yard”, is ridiculous.

The amount of storm surge damage along the coastline was significant to catastrophic (as expected). Power outages were numerous to widespread (as expected). 10-15”+ of rain that lead to major flooding happened (as expected). One of the worst tornado outbreaks in Florida’s history came from Milton.

I don’t want to hear this overhyped narrative. Just because you didn’t see one of these impacts doesn’t mean it was overhyped.

The amount of lives lost or changed from this hurricane continues to grow. I really hope that we can all come together and make a difference by helping those that were impacted by this hurricane, instead of saying this nonsense.
