I will be relying on your retweets and "likes" more than ever before.
There is an organized campaign going after me—hard—with the purpose of hurting my reach and the number of people who will even know that I posted something.
You don't have to, and, frankly, I hate having to ask you. However, when it comes to democracy... I'll ask anyone...for anything...if I think doing so will make a difference. I believe, in this instance...it will.
I appreciate you...and your assistance. The fight goes on.
Pretend like you’re the Jew who was tragically and horrifically sent to one of the German Death Camps, huddled with other Jews, talking about all the things you would have done different, and signs you would have been watching for, if you knew what you knew now…day, weeks or months before your demise.
Now, look around the room you are in. It’s 2024. We don’t have to imagine. We’ve read the history books. We’ve watched the documentaries. Some of us have talked to living Holocaust survivors. We know what happened. We know how it worked out. The question is, are we willing to do what those Jews would have done, if given a second chance? They didn’t get a second chance. We won’t either.
We have to get it right the first time. To do that, we have to be crystal clear about what “right” looks like.
Like it, or not, as a Democrat….you’re a marked Jew just as assuredly as someone named Goldstein, celebrating Hannukah. Under a second Trump admin, we…are the “inferior race,” regardless of skin color, or place of origin.
If you’re reading this, thinking “Oh, Jack…don’t be so dramatic.” I say this to you: You’re in denial. Fear will do that. But, so will stupidity.
The first one, you can rouse up from, the second one….you’re probably a lost cause. Best of luck to you.
What are you prepared to do to win? That is a question you best be answering for yourself.
Do you really want to win this fucking election, or are you just rattling out of your ass…because it sounds good on Twitter? If you’re serious, what are you doing to make it happen.
What if he was elected and started implementing the thing’s he has threatened? Do you fearfully “board the trains,” or, knowing what you know about how that worked out in the past, do you have different plans?
There are things to think about and questions to be answered. Get them answered, ASAP. Good answers never arise in the moment that you need them. It’s too late, then. Decide ahead of time.
Donald Trump has stated clearly the things he has planned if elected. They are no different than what Hitler planned. No surprise, there. Trump has long admired Hitler.
As Trump has said the things he plans to do, his equally fucked up and disturbed GOP shit wipes…have stood by silent. A clear endorsement of the threats he has made.
This go around, the “Jews” are informed “Jews.”
The phrase “History repeats itself” is utter bullshit. People repeat themselves…until they don’t.
We are at the “Until we don’t” stage. We are THOSE people. Never again. Never fucking again.
My name is Kristin Song.
On January 31, 2018, my son Ethan was shot in the head in his best friend's house. The father/gun owner stored 3 handguns and ammunition in a shoebox. Ethan's friend had been accessing the guns for over 6 months.
At the hospital, the ER doctor slid down the wall, put his head in his hands, and whispered, "Your son is gone." At that instant, all I knew, loved and trusted was imploded into a million tiny pieces.
I begged to say goodbye to my beautiful boy. I wanted to kiss his forehead, tell him how cherished he was, and tuck him in one last time. But the doctor begged me to remember Ethan as he was, you see, he was unrecognizable even to my eyes.
The day before Thanksgiving in 2018, the prosecutor told me she would not charge the negligent gun owner, and if I wanted negligent gun owners to be held accountable, I would have to change the law.
So I did.
6 months later, Connecticut passed Ethan's Law, which requires gun owners to secure their weapons if children can gain access.
Then, I learned that so many states stood silent on this issue, so in 2019, I turned my attention to passing Ethan's Law nationally. I met with over 400 congressional offices, 130 of them Republican.
In 2022, Ethan's Law was passed in the House of Representatives as part of the Safer Communities Act. Sadly, it was not picked up in the final package.
When the Democrats lost the House of Representatives in 2023, I pivoted to passing safe gun storage laws in the States. As a result, Michigan, New Mexico, and Maryland passed safe storage laws.
Currently, I am working with 5 states to pass Ethan's Law.
I am emotionally and mentally exhausted, but I will not stop until there is a cultural shift in this country where it becomes second nature to secure your weapons around unsupervised children.
If you believe in protecting children from gun violence, please follow and repost.
listen up, stupids:
just this week, Donald Trump refused to testify.
Eric Trump also refused to testify.
Rudy Giuliani also refused to testify.
if you think that Hunter Biden showing up and offering to testify somehow makes -him- the one who's hiding something, you're just being an obstinate tribal asshole and I can't help you
Unacceptable penalties
Kenny Picketts lack of vision of open WR’s
Mason Cole’s 3 low snaps which resulted in 1 fumble recovery by ARI
All of these are stalling drives
Why the fuck does the offense suck and who’s the primary issue?
Dear @BeschlossDC -Benedict Arnold became shorthand for "traitor" for selling an American battle plan to the Brits & offering them West Point for 10,000 pounds & a British military commission. He was never found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman, stealing top-secret documents & lying about it, committing massive business fraud, stealing money from a children's charity, paying hush money to a porn star, lying more than 33,000 times in 4 years including the BIG lie about a "rigged" election, inciting an insurrection, attempting a coup against his own government or giving his rivals mean nicknames. Seems a bit unfair to Mr. Arnold. Am I missing something? Any insights from you would be very much appreciated.
This is such a great point @grimsr3ap3r79 Trump’s whole thing was ‘controlling the narrative’. Thats why he’s had such psychological control over millions of people. That’s why the many recent gag orders are probably one of the greatest restrictions he’s ever had to deal with in his life. Well, second to when he was removed from Twitter by the former Twitter policy makers.
I just watched a video Trump supporting evangelical saying the following words to another person they were speaking to:
“You need to accept the Lord as your savior. It doesn’t mean that you have to be perfect. It doesn’t mean that you have to stop…I mean, you don’t have to stop drinking, cussing, fooling around…or doin’ all those sins…because the Lord don’t ask you to stop. He just says, ‘Let me in your life.”
When you understand how MAGA processes religion, you can understand how they can still support Donald Trump.
So, I run into this Congressman in the Hall. I ask "How can you vote for a guy to be the speaker of the house and defend the constitution when he wouldn't uphold it?" (You know, he ignored a subpoena and wouldn't admit Biden won the election.)
His answer: That's like your opinion man - a comeback worthy of The Dude, but not a Congressman.
