@donksuem@MarioNawfal@ScottAdamsSays Almost nobody is ever using their brain to think for themselves. That's why those tech CEOs can easily say the most brain-dead ret@rded sh!t and everybody eats it up.
Even though a basic 1+1 level calculation can immediately tell you: those things will never happen in real life.
@donksuem@MarioNawfal@ScottAdamsSays To anyone with a brain and the ability to add 1+1, it was always clear (without spending a single dollar) why that Hyperloop idiocy will never work in real life.
And the "space data centers" thing is the same.
Nobody needs to be an engineer.
Just use your brain and add 1+1.
@donksuem@MarioNawfal@ScottAdamsSays Any talk about "data centers in orbit" completely ignores the reality of operating anything in orbit.
I suspect Bezos invented the "data centers in orbit" HOAX to prevent the AI bubble from popping.
And that might actually work because nobody is using their brain to add 1+1.
@donksuem@MarioNawfal@ScottAdamsSays Wrong! All engineering-related issues *combined* are nothing in comparison to the main issue.
To understand the main issue, you just need to do the basic 1+1 level math.
"data centers in orbit" can never make sense financially. Not in 10 years, not in 100 years.
@donksuem@MarioNawfal@ScottAdamsSays Cooling isn't even remotely the biggest problem there.
Even if you solve cooling, anyone who has a brain and can add 1+1, understands why there will never be any "data centers in orbit".
But using that talking point seems an easy way for those tech CEOs to fool retards.
@ScottAdamsSays If it's electronic, you don't need anyone to count anything. An electronic machine can just... DISPLAY the results.
That will probably sound like a ground-breaking revelation to Dilbert. But that's how tech works.
@sama If @OpenAI again and again fails to make a BASIC feature work (such as projects/folders, this time on mobile, broken for DAYS),
is that just pure incompetence?
Or is it incompetence mixed with stupidity?
@OwenGregorian Targeting $150 billion instead of $2 trillion is NOT an "85% reduction".
It's a 92.5% reduction.
And everyone with a brain knew from the beginning that he pulled that $2 trillion number out of his ass.
@sama What's the deal with "Content failed to load" + "Try again" in any of the projects?
Is nobody at OpenAI using the Projects feature in their own ChatGPT account?
That must be the case.
Why else would this be allowed to happen?
Hey @Waveroom_studio what's going on?
I sent a support request (via chatbot) over 24 hours ago and still no sign of any response.
Is this service dead now?
@pilgrimboy14 @ScottAdamsSays For example, one item in a shop could be very "unpopular" according to "data".
But if a bunch of people do their weekly shopping in your store solely because of that one rare item, you're gonna lose big time if you remove that item from your store.
@pilgrimboy14 @ScottAdamsSays And you forget that at least half the time when you attempt to make "data-driven decisions" in your retail business, you miss the forest for the trees.
So, at least half the time your decisions could be "data-driven" AND wrong.
@ScottAdamsSays Respect MUST be earned. Period.
It's fair to give a stranger an average 5/10 level of respect.
But if someone is being an id!ot,
you can lower your respect level for them to zero and they have NO right to demand anything in that regard.
@premium Why is it not possible to promote a post?
It's not possible to follow all the steps listed here:
https://t.co/WBl5rC46Pg
or here:
https://t.co/56zYngq2o0
because there's absolutely NO "promote" option anywhere!
