@nerdalert This is where the board's independence at Tesla will be tested for real. They have to say no to the merger at this point until values reshuffle as you mentioned.
@nerdalert They shouldn't be skipping the line here, just because Musk is secretly bitter at Tesla for not paying him. It seems like SpaceX is Elons favorite child.
@nerdalert Yes SpaceX will be a mega-profitable company but.... in years and years away not now.
Their shareholders should not be rewarded over Tesla shareholders that have been in line for five years now.
@nerdalert I'm so surprised this is a contentious point at all! Just basic maths. Plus some basic understanding of the historical context of warming the Tesla nest egg for years just for it to be snatched away by the cuckoo that is SpaceX the current valuations.
@iamtomnash Super basic math tells me that 1,000 a week is 52,000 per year. Out of a million that's 5.2%. Dump it in S&P and that's a 10%. Not even close. The question should have been 2,000 per week and it is debatable.
@heydave7 I wanted to buy a 3 row full sized SUV only to realize that no matter how nice the X7 and GLS are... I can't in good conscience buy a car that does not have FSD let alone not electric. They just feel so ancient at this point.
