@JohnJHarwood Sadly it was supposed to be the Summer of George. "No shirt, no plans, just Knicks shorts and a block of cheese the size of a car battery."
@DemocracyDocket "U.S. District Judge Stephanie Gallagher, an appointee of President Donald Trump, repeatedly pressed the department over both its legal theory and what it actually plans to do with the records if it gets them." DOJ lawyer: "I’m not going to get into the details." ⬇️
Hayes: Now, would it surprise you to learn that is not true? A senior Iranian official tells MSNOW Iran has not agreed to anything. State media reported the same thing. But oil prices fell and stocks rose on trump's guarantees. That's pretty much exactly what happened the nearly 40 previous times Donald Trump promised a peace deal was this close.

In effect, the USPS would be regulating elections and who gets to vote.
The result: If YOU rely on mail voting, you could be disenfranchised.
The USPS is accepting public feedback until July 2, 2026. Check out the link below for more information on how to fight back ⤵️

NEW: A federal appeals court has fast-tracked Democrats’ bid to block Trump’s executive order targeting mail voting after a lower court left it in place last month.
The move is a hopeful sign for voters seeking to stop the administration from upending mail-in voting before the midterms. https://t.co/Y4obxeUMMl
Completely illegal. Federal court after federal court has already rejected the Trump admin’s demands for private voter data and this will be blocked too.
@TreyYingst Why did they change the name to the War Department if all they are going to do are "self-defense" strikes?
Could have kept it the Department of Defense.
Every single one of these boat strikes was a violation of the laws of war. That’s why the cowards in the Trump administration have classified a legal memo they claim supports the strikes. They classified a legal opinion—from Trump’s DOJ—you read that right. It’s bullshit.
Over 200 people have been killed by the U.S. so far without any trial or evidence of crimes presented to the public. At least a few may, the U.S. government admits, have been migrants being smuggled, or even trafficking victims.
A local water official said the strike knocked out two reservoirs supplying drinking water to more than 20K people, as temperature topped 37°C/100°F. Tankers trucked in water until a bypass line in the waterpipe was built.
NEW: Our visual analysis suggests the United States hit two drinking-water facilities overnight in southern Iran with precision-guided munitions. Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute a war crime. w/ @ckoettl@johnismay@ArtemisChats
MacFarlane: What do you think your constituents think about this slush fund?
McGovern: They think Trump is a corrupt son of a bitch who doesn’t give a shit about them.
There’s so much to unpack from the Trump-Welker interview. The WH intended it as a communication tool — it became the opposite. When you put a president determined to twist reality in front of a reporter known for her professionalism and refusal to accept anything but facts, the strategy doesn’t just fail. It exposes the way the administration operates — all about manipulation and the belief that reality is whatever they say it is — until someone refuses to play along.

I mean yes. This matters a lot. It is extremely bad for you and for the country that you have all done massive epistemic damage to yourselves in this way.
