I'm sure you have noticed recently that #Glasgow #Subway stations have been closed on a regular basis, even up to 1/3 of stations being closed due to 'operational issues'

@CWintersgill @danhutchison_ @GlasgowSubway Quietest stations closed, staff moved to keep busier stations open. Been understaffed for years, but staff have covered the shortfall. Management pushed staff over edge with bullying, last minute shift changes. Staff stopped doing the favours. Still a few weeks of this at least

@danhutchison_ @BeeTee727 @GlasgowSubway Management decided staff have to give up their social and family life to cover changes of shift with little notice or face disciplinary. Staff decided to stop doing overtime to cover huge understaffing problem. No overtime pay, abusive management, this has been coming for years

Staff are taking early retirement taking huge hits to their pension because of that just to get out of the place, hiring new people wont help. Major changes needed

Management now want to randomly change shifts and threaten disciplinary if staff say no. Staff now cant plan for their days off, cant organise with families. Doing overtime as a favour is over.

Bit ironic that @GlasgowSubway ask the public to respect staff when management have build a culture of bullying in the #glasgow subway

Zero tolerance to abuse? maybe DC, BQ, TH and VS should be referred to the police?

Even saturday night drunks treat staff better

Passengers? stations regularly closed, and train service reduced due to understaffing issues

Staff? who can never take their holidays and are hounded to work when they are off

Timeless convenience? looks more like endless inconvenience

Shout out to the @Churchill_Group cleaning staff on #glasgowsubway who have also been under-staffed and over-worked through the entire pandemic. They also deserve to be treated better by their managers. Probably give them a pay rise too.

@STVNews Management using covid as a scapegoat for their incompetence and abuse of staff. Staff not doing overtime to cover for mismanagement anymore. Years of worsening conditions have led to this. The camels back has been broken.

@Glasgow_Times They keep saying operational issues, when what they mean is that they have treated staff so poorly that there is nobody willing to do the overtime management have become so reliant on.

Imagine having shifts swapped on a whim and then constantly bothered to work on your days off.

@MrAdamR Management started treating staff like they were on call, so staff stopped doing favours for management. This is what happens when management rely on overtime, and staff stop doing it. It's not a strike yet, but it could be soon. How many stations closed then?

@BillyMcDiarmid @GlasgowSubway Officially its only open for Subway hours, but if you park there, the barriers will be raised after 6pm so you can just drive out.
This and more useful information for the public, until management start treating staff with some respect.

@PoppyQ73 @GlasgowSubway Operations Management Issues, as in ops management can't do their jobs, have left service delivery staff to pick up the slack for too long. Managers now demanding that staff be on call at all times. Staff have stopped covering for managements incompetence.
