If Intergalactic really does release in the second half of 2027, then it will be the last Naughty Dog game with a disc 😭
(Sony you better reverse the decision)
Rumor: Sony may be getting cold feet on the digital-only push because Xbox is leaning harder into physical.
Apparently some publishers are already looking at Sony’s direction like a liability, and one major publisher is even rumored to be considering skipping PlayStation for a big upcoming title if Sony can’t guarantee a physical release.
Nothing confirmed yet.
But if this is true, this is exactly how you make these companies move.
Not by begging.
By making the bad decision cost them money.
REPORT: PlayStation is claimed to be considering delaying their digital-only future because XBOX is willing to go physical next generation🚀
✅Microsoft is allegedly telling publishers its next console, Project Helix will be entirely physical and will allow users to convert physical games into digital copies.
✅Sony reportedly realized that forcing a digital-only approach leaves a massive opening for competitors to capitalize on consumer demand for physical games.
✅A major unnamed game publisher (confirmed not to be Rockstar) reportedly threatened to skip PlayStation and release their massive upcoming title only on XBOX and Nintendo if Sony couldn't guarantee a physical release.

Why are the people of the USA letting Trump lead them down such a dark path that they'll never recover from? It's like you're all watching him light the building on fire, lock the doors and you're not trying to stop him. What's up with that? Kinda weird.
The same way they’re trying to convince you that physical games “don’t make sense” and engineer data to make it seem like it’s a niche market, in the near future they’re gonna gaslight you into thinking owning a “license” to digital games “makes no sense” and that you should be settle for only streaming🚀
In fact, they’re already paving the way. And they’ll push for it because it makes them charge you for life, instead of charging you a fixed rate for hardware or software.
Ending is physical media is just a stepping stone, just like how cosmetic microtransactions were a stepping stone for huge chunks of content taken from games and sold as DLC, or making games deliberately more tedious so you can buy time-saver packs.
The greed won’t stop until you face it head on and vote with your voice and your wallet. That is your basic right as a human being and customer, and it doesn’t make you “toxic”, “entitled”, “broke” or “stuck in the past”.
Don’t let them and their shills convince you otherwise.

30fps is okay when rockstar does it
digital only is okay when rockstar does it
$100 games is okay when rockstar does it
paywalling a trailer is okay when rockstar does it
harvesting info from thousands of random people is okay when rockstar does it
GTA6 honestly just feels frustrating to me
Cause I WANT to be excited at how impressive it looks, and it’s cool we’re finally getting another one after 13 years
But the unavoidable fact this title is being used to kill physical games will always leave a bad taste in my mouth
"Dude games are only increasing to 80"
"Dude games are only increasing to 100"
"Dude games are only increasing to 150"
"Dude it's only an extra 20 a month for the subscription"
"Dude it's only getting rid of disks"
Fuck off, 2026. Just go ahead and take a step back and fuck your own face!
Dolly, Tim Curry and now Peter Cullen, the voice of my childhood and my favorite animated character, Optimus Prime.
God, it’s been a tough week. RIP to a goddamn legend with the greatest set of pipes. 😔
I'm truly sorry.. but this still leads to an all digital future. If you annouce physical discs and a drive for project Helix, you would literally be saving your industry and you'd prob be a leader in it again. Too many people are rushing in to praise this.
