it’s me. i’m that guy.
building more housing does depress prices (because the housing market uses prices to allocate a scarce good)
building more lanes doesn’t relieve congestion (because highways are free and rely on traffic to allocate scarce roadspace)
@TA1297 Could that be because he raises the floor so much more for a bench unit than being out there as a starter? Maybe the hyper impact super sub is his best fit?
@MarzTalksSports@DuncanUtd10 Triple Doubles are indicative of an outcome, USG rate is indicative of a play style. When we let him run the offense we win is not the same as when he gets a lot of points/REBs/ASTs we win
I hate this. I hate that they are taking a perfectly fine muni that is over a century old and gold plating it so the everyday person can’t play golf.
Passionately, I despise this to my core.
I grew up playing a rock-filled, 9-hole muni that used to be the old Jewish country club in Little Rock. It was $5 and play all day… don’t forget to stop in the clubhouse for an RC Cola at some point.
I learned by lacing drives down fairways and accepting when the ball shot 90° into the woods. That was just how Rock Creek GC was.
We’re leaving the “least” of us behind, and that’s everything I’m against.
Trump threatened to cut off the economy’s hand (Liberation Day) and then people freaked out, and then he said “fine fine I’ll just chop off the economy’s pinkie above the knuckle” (the adjusted exempted tariffs) and then the economy got worse at everything involving the full use of five fingers (manufacturing etc), and Oren Cass is triumphant that this is a victory for all advocates of digital amputation.
The tariffs are impacting more than just manufacturing, and the blue-collar job loss has been notable across sectors compared to trend growth.
If you use different trendlines in any specific sector it looks better no doubt, but the overall difference is striking.
