Yes ! I agree with this ! No matter if your working in an early learning centre or primary school setting, your voice sets the tone, provides engagement and curiosity with learning. #acuedu_p
A teacher's tone of voice, volume, and pacing can have a surprisingly large effect on classroom culture, including students’ sense of belonging—a recent study found. https://t.co/gHaiYkC12Q
And just like that the EC/Primary Transition units comes to an end after their intensive 9 week schedule. Wishing them all of the best as they commence their final prac next week! #acuedu_p
In one of my university tutorials last week we had the opportunity to create a classroom environment using an online design website. This was the classroom I created, labelled areas are the different zones/areas :) #acuedu_p
Wow ! Thanks for sharing Sarah ! I Also struggle with the appropriate and engaging selection of books for students. This will really make that no longer a problem for me :) #acuedu_p
Sometime I'm unsure of which books are appropriate for my students learning capabilities BUT @booksfortopics has just made it a whole lot easier🤩 #acuedu_p https://t.co/CfzBZxVV4D
It’s great too see that there are wellbeing conferences for teachers ! It’s such a underrated issue that teachers face. By hearing and sharing stories overall help other teachers and emerging teachers in their lives. #acuedu_p
Today I attended a Wellbeing conference presented by Sydney Catholic Schools focusing on the overall wellbeing of students and teachers. Many educated and experienced professionals shared great insight into this topic and resources that are useful in supporting this. #acuedu_p
Related to my transition to the profession I would like to know more about how to respectfully incorporate Indigenous perspectives into my classroom and lessons. #acuedu_p
What is the most significant or profound thing i have discovered during this Unit about my transition to the profession? It would have to be sharing personal teaching experiences and strategies. Collaboration=Success #acuedu_p
It can be daunting at times especially when it comes to communication to parents about a child’s behaviour … Great advice from Sarah here, have a read my fellow teachers/future teachers #acuedu_p
For teachers, it can be difficult to know when and how to reach out to parents. Honest, caring, consistent communication is the best route and it's usually well received. Some tips from @SarahWysocki10.

It brings me so much joy when I walk into a classroom and see excellent behaviour strategies provided by the class teacher in covering for. I love this sound strategy so students are aware of what noise level is acceptable at participle times. #acuedu_p
I couldn’t agree with this anymore !! I grew up being a ‘backyard child’ playing in the environment and getting all messy. They were times when there were no electronic devices. A time where each child didn’t have their own IPad or phone. Let children BE CHILDREN! #acuedu_p
Q: What do I hope to get out of the Transition unit?
A: I would love some tips on behavioral management in a mixed ability classroom. (Early Year and Primary School) #acuedu_p
