We are already super successful. We need another doc.

I have never asked for a retweet, but colleagues please retweet.

@AaronGoodman33 Clinical trialists do not see the volume of patients community oncologists see. Clinical skills that have developed over years have their own intrinsic immeasurable value. This is not reflected by the thickness of the CV. We love taking care of patients too.
BREAKING: FTC and DOJ Antitrust Division opened new portal to hear about the monopolies controlling healthcare and stifling competition. Please take a minute and make them aware of the ABMS monopoly!

@VincentRK Same with abiraterone on Cost Plus. Much cheaper. No need to do coverage gimmicks. 30 count of 250 mg costs $33.50. Just take it with low fat food.
But… available at GoodRx pharmacies for average price of just $2700.00 per month.
I long for that day @mcuban will get generic for lenalidomide on @costplusdrugs. Lenalidomide (Revlimid) pricing is a racket and an open example of white collar corruption.
How price per pill of lenalidomide kept on rising in USA 🇺🇸.
22 times the price was raised . From 215 $ in 2005 to 763 $ in 2020.
And what all Tricks of the trade played by Celgene to keep the price high and block the entry of generics. And when most of the research was funded by government aided grants. 🤫
This is shocking and insane.
I don't know how health economy in USA 🇺🇸 is able to sustain this and will it collapse on one fine day ?? 🤔
And just to compare the same pill is available for close 2 to 3 $ in India 🇮🇳 @JCOOP_ASCO@asco@5_utr @AaronGoodman33 @ManniMD1@VPrasadMDMPH@Dr_AmerZeidan@dr_yakupergun@DrYukselUrun@NicoleKuderer@gary_lyman
@zen228@MrinalPatnaik@HemOncFellows I have watched such cases if no infection. If infection then for sure growth factor support. If patient or MD anxious then too growth factors support.
@ManniMD1@End_myeloma I sometimes think of biochemically recurrent prostate cancer. We do treat some patients when PSAdt is short and based on Gleason and other factors but many patients are monitored for years before even pulling the trigger to start ADT.

Interesting discussion about how a large whale swallows a smaller fish. All for profit. Patients loose. Large hospitals do not provide better oncology care but surely do cost the system a lot more money. Govt should actively think of preventing healthcare consolidation.
@eliojabraMD You’re welcome @eliojabraMD. You will do great with your residency and fellowship. It is very rewarding to teach hardworking, bright and ambitious folks like you.
