Full Disclosure on Somnia S5 Airdrop ✍️

There was a lot of anger on the timeline yesterday so many might have missed the story

Somnia launched a season 5 airdrop campaign that involved testing various projects on the blockchain
(Gaming, DEX, NFT etc)

Some of these quests involved using liquidity to complete, some needed just time but after completing it, you earn points and rank on the leaderboard

Points earned can be boosted by buying ecosystem NFTs and NFTs that were still on the ETH blockchain needed to be bridged to the Somnia blockchain
(I remember bridging my Quills worth $1K+ to 150 SOMI back then)

This campaign lasted 8 months

The reality today✍️
➥ After the snapshot for the season all NFTs dropped to zero (capital lost, probably permanently)

➥ 1% of the SOMI supply was allocated for the airdrop and allocations have been seen
The expectation was 3% and this was further proven when the founder said it was reduced to incentivize two new projects

➥ The core supporters of the blockchain that had a skin in the game by buying/minting NFTs, completing liquidity quests are in a loss

My Message to the founder Paul✍️
We understand that its not easy leading a blockchain and your focus is on somnia becoming an Agentic L1

And that it's even tougher with airdrops and retaining users on the blockchain (hence the vesting & rewards shift)

But at this point you will have to agree that the community has worked, supported the blockchain and has earned the rewards for this season 5

Concerning Prophecy Social I was already having fun interacting, I didn't even know rewards will be attached
I am not a fan of prediction markets but I got involved because it was coming from Somnia

That's the kind of users you should strive to have Paul, restricting rewards as a means to keep users is -EV imo, especially after the community is dissatisfied right now

Those who love the apps and blockchain will keep interacting and you have built something that people would love to use, have some faith in yourself and the tech.

The punch line is the community should be rewarded what they are due Thank you.

No one is going to use those products after the whole community got rekt in season 5.

We didn’t make any profit after 8 months of grinding and testing the products @Somnia_Network offered us. Why bother with it in the next seasons/months?

OpenSea dropping its token rn would act as a catalyst for the entire NFT sector. It will be a stimmy like the surprise Uniswap token claim which cashed everybody up enough to go bonkers and have a DeFi Summer. Which is still the wildest time in crypto ever. The timing is perfect.

You claimed you couldn’t do TGE because of market conditions.

That has obviously changed and market conditions are currently perfect for a NFT marketplace token launch.

One encouragement to the OpenSea team:

Launch $SEA on ETH.

Don’t go to SOL.

Don’t launch on a random L2.

Keep the liquidity where the majority of the top tier NFT assets on your platform are, and you’ll create the greatest flywheel effect to drive more capital injection into those assets thus driving more interest into your platform, and more interest into the token itself.
