A lot of college players quit the sport entirely and say their experience made them fall out of love with the game.
And in some casesâthatâs true.
But in many others, they didnât fall out of love. They simply realized they never truly loved it in the first place. They loved the IDEA of it.
The next level isnât just âsomething you do after high school.â Itâs a real commitment.
When you post âIâm committed to play for (school name),â youâre not just committing to a rosterâyouâre committing to growth.
Getting the spot is easy.
Keeping itâand earning meaningful minutesârequires you to evolve in ways that Instagram posts and signing days donât show.
As you enter this process, as clichĂŠ as it soundsâfind the right fit.
Get to know the person behind each coach.
Do some soul searching.
Figure out what you actually want.
Then go find your next home.
You owe it to yourself to be thorough.

@mlycan12 I think whatâs missing in their discussion is the reality that being great at anything requires sacrifice. You may miss things you want to do. Do you want to be great more than you want to go to the beach? If not, playing in college at an elite level probably isnât for you anyway
@mlycan12 I thought the same when I heard to this - I think where I settled is one-off/rare events that the scheduling is out of their control, okay. Things like prom, sibling graduations, funerals (obviously), weddings, etc..But vacations can be scheduled around team events, or dont go.
Our kids donât need them at @ahfcsoccer . Thatâs why they have their club coaches to lean on for help and guide them through the college recruiting process.
We have several college commitments announcing soon. Our staff and families get after it to make it happen!

Here at PBAWS, we do things differently.
Person > player.
If it comes at the expense of wins, or even my job (it wonât, but even if), so be it. People matter.
May I never forget the responsibility that it is to be entrusted to love and care for image bearers.
To those getting upset about kids being released after only 6 months or scholarship offers being pulled from the 2027 classâŚâŚâŚ just a reminder đ itâs not personal, itâs a business.
Winning matters!
Recruits, please understand college soccer is not an extension of club or high school where everyone gets a trophy or playing time.
If you donât perform well or they feel youâre not good enough anymore, youâre getting dropped from the program. Thatâs the nature of the business so now you know if you didnât already.

@CoachGusMota Yep! And girls who continue to compete at the same level or higher than before they committed always do better than those who commit and then decide to drop a level or coast until college.
Hello, Moon. Itâs great to be back.
Hereâs a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: https://t.co/rzM1P0QbOl
To be "pro-life" is to value the dignity, the Imago Dei, and the value of every single human being, period.
No matter how small, how big, how different, how far away, how accomplished, or how learned.
To be consistently pro-life will force you outside the bounds of both of our current American, political parties, and so be it. And today, we must speak out against our current President's rhetoric, which is anything but pro-life (and by no means an isolated incident).
To be a Christian is to be a peculiar people - loving our enemies and praying for those who persecute us - repenting of our sin on a daily basis, seeking holiness that the world sees as backwards and foolish, and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Rejoicing in trials? It sounds crazy. But we have been given the Holy Spirit to help us.
Jesus died and rose again so that we could have life, and abundantly. If you see my posts and aren't a Christian but ever want to talk about faith, I'm here.
He will not refuse any who come to Him.
For all Canadians saying they were the better teamâŚ.
On George Washingtonâs birthday, let me remind youâŚthe British were the better team.
And yet the Americans still won their independence.
Good morning, Division II! đ
