@chamath@theallinpod Duke Energy (NC) only buys my solar-generated power at a marginal rate of 3.4c/kWh, i.e. the "avoided cost rate". I buy it from them at 12c/kWh. Point is, the utility companies also need to be pressured to incentivize solar to make it more attractive to the consumers.

@friedberg I found your argument on @theallinpod about the CA billionaire tax compelling; basically that this is a tax on personal property. I live in North Carolina, where every year I am required to pay an annual property tax on my cars. Is this any different?
