@JosephKahn Wolf of Wall Street also seems to be, "a celebration of outlaw ethos with a spectacular Hand of God crash in the last act." But Scorsese films the depravity so well that it seems to undermine the stories themes and structure.
@TheGermanicist@nathanmaximoff_@TatooineSons I fell asleep during it twice. The second time I watched it I didn't even remember I'd tried to watch it before. My wife kept being like, "no. We've seen this already." And I was like, "I don't think so."
@Rothmus We have got to get rid of the 2 party system. It leads to situations like this. Someone that shouldn't be running for office is being used as a front for a machine. Ghost in the Shell. Only the messed up ones agree to it.
I started reading David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest, since I’d seen some things about it on X recently.
Chapter 1: Year of Glad is basically Royal Tenenbaums
Chapter 2: Year of the Depend Adult Undergarment is basically a Marc Maron bit.
@EndGameWW3@WhiteHouse "The fact that we're disclosing aliens now that AI Image & Video Generation is incredibly powerful and relatively cheap is a complete coincidence. Please ignore."
Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸
