Author "The Kinder, Gentler Military," (Scribner), "The Other War"(Encounter) and a tsunami of text in pubs from Playboy to The New Republic to Elle to the WSJ.
@evanwch I don't care about his personal life. I care that he's a socialist and that he blubbed to a NYTimes reporter , and that he cosplays working class
@MyronGainesX ummmmm..you should see what they're doing over on the Arab side, like training kids (7, 8 year olds, etc) to be suicide bombers. Like celebrating the "glorious triumph" of 10/7 when they killed parents in front of their children and children in front of their parents.
@davidharsanyi@krassenstein It's also a really bad idea to put tunnels, where you store arms, hold hostages, and stage attacks, under your city...literally under civilian infrastructure, like homes, schools, mosques, markets and etc.
@HistoryBoomer the ads are not supposed to be perfect. the best thing about the Pratt campaign is he's using crude tools that just call for a smart high school kid and a computer. It's the definition of populism. I love the fact that he's using AI. So ads don't have to cost a billions?
@SMohyeddin@RobynUrback Yo. Do you know anything about dogs? Perhaps not. The Kristof piece stipulated dogs that were trained to rape. In American courts rape must include penetration. That's what separates rape from vaguely defined "sexual abuse."
@sfali789@RobynUrback Hey genius!
Perhaps you don't know much about dogs. Mounting is one thing. Dogs will mount anything— Including their owners calves—but the Kristof piece stipulated "rape", which by definition must include penetration. It's the penetration part that's so improbable
@MikeCarlton01 oooooo, the NEW YORK TIMES! their reporters never show bias against Israel.. I haven't looked at who Kristof sourced for this article but their reporters have a history of taking Hamas at their word...which is a very stupid thing to do
@amandafortini I know. The algorithm immediately shoves people I loathe (who I know IRL) at the top of my feed, which gets me bristling and ready to start fights with everybody...thereby boosting X's engagement numbers
@ScottMcConnell9 I make it a point not to engage with wild-eyed, ignorant conspiracy mongers but X, I guess in the interest of increasing "engagement," keeps shoving your mind virus, ravings in my face
@ScottMcConnell9 right. And movies about ambivalences actually get funded (usually by the government) and MADE in Israel which is more than you can say about Saudi Arabia, Iran, the P.A., and so on...
@ScottMcConnell9 With Israel raising venture capital for all kinds of other tech startups (bio tech, new apps to be purchased by Apple and etc.) right and left, who the F cares if Lachlan Murdoch doesn't like Israel??? 🤣🤣
@ScottMcConnell9 Meanwhile, the Israel-as-secret-mistress scenario is alive and well with countries like Spain pompously announcing a "total disconnection from Israeli technology" then cancelling a Rafael contract, then *going around the backdoor* and buying the same Israeli tech from Germany 🤣
