@BenRabidoux I’m no fan of Carney, but he absolutely should be shouting at that band of midwits to actually do their jobs. Trudeau gave them titles and then just let his cabinet outsource their jobs to highly paid consultants.
@PaulEmbery It’s just a convenient way to ignore opinions you disagree with. If you get the media to align on that talking point it’s quite effective in shutting down debate.
@AdnanHussainMP The loss of the middle is entirely due to the political / lanyard class not listening to the electorate & insisting they know better (mostly to garner a block vote for their party). Extremism doesn’t just arise from nowhere, politicians are entirely ignoring their part in this.
@JeremyVineOn5@owenjonesjourno British politics was known for finding the middle ground, but we have extremism on both sides. Accept all immigration of whatever type or you are a racist versus everyone not born here must leave.
This is the result of a total failure of politicians to listen to the electorate.
@DonMiami3 I’m not buying but if there are enough of these people then the price goes up, then other people get worried about missing the boat and jump in too, same thing happened with bitcoin. The stock market is just about creating FOMO now.
@straczynski@KramReklaw Would love to see your take on Doctor who. If you get the job, please let some of the mysteries remain mysteries… the desire to explain everything boxed subsequent stories in and made the character less interesting.
@AdnanHussainMP Violence is not the answer, but I think the anger is born from the political classes total inaction or inability to stop these repeated “isolated incidents”. The government is paid by taxpayers to ensure fairness, rules and safety, at the moment they are failing miserably.
@BBCBreakfast After so many attacks by those entering illegally, surely the main story should be the overarching public safety problem politicians have fostered? Pretending these outbursts came from nowhere is wearing thin.
@LBC@AndrewMarr9 The current incarnations of Labour and trade union leaders seem to actively despise the working class. In the past they would fight uncontrolled immigration as they knew it suppressed wages, now they just see more people = more union dues.
@BBCNewsnight I think it is the politicians answers to the questions about immigration that got us here… They are supposed to serve the people not rule them.
