@NoInnrMonologue@DreadRoberts94@RaymondArroyo Well snarf, looks like you managed to completely demonstrate ignorance of what purgatory actually is. Wonder the magnitude of everything else you get wrong about the Catholic faith. But please, go right ahead, don't let knowledge get in your way

@lima616@sitsio Father John Corapi said this. And it has always helped me to remember why I need to stay strong through occasional marital struggles. And why I need to also be less of a burden on my spouse
@MikeWingerii Scripture is indeed authoritative.
But it would hold no authority if the Church did not first declare it had this authority. Fact is that scripture and the Church are equally yoked and equally authoritative. You cannot separate one from the other. They are intrinsically linked.
@usaf__vet@DrChaffs @AGAndrewBailey Ectopic pregnancy treatment is NOT an abortion. The child tragically cannot be saved by any means. Procedures to remove and save mom are available and are not in dispute by pro-lifers.
@redpillhubby@JoshuaTCharles Not quite accurate. That's the highest form of discipleship. And it is indeed essential to our salvation. But the highest form of worship, hands down, is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
@redpillhubby@JoshuaTCharles Partly correct. But the highest level and form of worship on earth (which is what is being discussed here) is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which by its nature demands the highest form of reverence and liturgical actions.
@gatekeeper96740@shandrylv@JoshuaTCharles The logic that says...'that's just what we've always done, us locals'... is unfortunately not a very compelling position on this issue.
Clearly the issue revolves around appropriateness, not popularity or prevalence
@smalls2672@KanaryMine@RealCandaceO As a general rule of logic, do you always judge institutions on the whole by the relatively miniscule amount of actions carried out by a miniscule number of its members?
@wayaheadayou@smalls2672@RealCandaceO He was frequently wrong about Christianity. He never understood true theological concepts. He only appeared to be smart about them because of his impressive oration skills and wit
@smalls2672@RealCandaceO Hitchens never understood the essence of Christianity, arguing (eloquently but uselessly) that the Church's authenticity can be judged solely by cherrypicking a miniscule number of deplorable acts carried out by its fallible human members. He never was good at true theology.
@HandsomeRandall@theliamnissan@RealCandaceO So your argument amounts to...
It's been around forever so it's all good
and
You should be OK with porn because hey, it atleast gave us some inconsequential but convenient form of cinematic entertainment
Strong reasoning
@TTRR00YY@JacqBens@flickr2754 @AGAndrewBailey @KansasCity@buttkicker7 Sure.... I'm sure they meant it just to deflect tweets about him away from their account. That perfectly explains why they attempted to remove and apologize for that tweet later. smh
