It will be like going to sleep for a long time until God comes down to earth and changes it back to heaven, and he will raise us from the death and we can be with him forever.

The current push to "masculinize" Christianity assumes that the Christian virtues of meekness, love, mutual submission, etc. are inherently "feminine," so it has to Christianize decidedly non-Christian virtues like heroism in order to create its vision for a "masculine" Faith.

Theology 101: Dying and going to heaven is NOT resurrection. It’s death. Paul calls those who have died and gone to heaven “the DEAD (οἱ νεκροὶ)” in Christ. Resurrection is death’s opposite. If your eschatology has you calling death “resurrection,” you have a bad eschatology.

So many folks here (including many black & brown folks) are ignorant of the rich Eastern Christian tradition and how many of our black & brown ancestors have been worshiping Jesus since many white folks’ ancestors were worshiping Thor.
