🚨 FIFA has Allowed the Argentine National team to use the "Argentine Malvinas" banner in the World Cup final.
FIFA's own rules prohibits players from displaying political banners. Morata and Rodri Were BANNED because of the Same Rule
Different Rules for Argentina & Messi ?🤯
I often hear that Russia crossed the red line when it annexed Crimea in 2014 and should have been stopped then.
I disagree.
The red line was crossed in 2008, when Angela Merkel helped block Georgia and Ukraine from receiving a NATO Membership Action Plan under pressure from Russia.
A few months later, Russia invaded Georgia.
That was the moment the Kremlin learned that military aggression against its neighbours would not be met with a decisive response.
Everything that followed became more likely.
I believe Merkel’s Russia policy was one of the most damaging strategic failures of modern Europe.
History will judge it accordingly.
What’s that, @DaleVince? You want to give me an unconditional personal gift of £5million to do whatever I want with? Sure! I just need to fill out a form. If I didn’t declare it that would be silly.
Andrew Marr: " The Commons rules are very clear and they forbid face coverings "
Count Binface: " Well the Commons rules are very clear about what you can do with donations , but that seems to have got all murky so why can't I see how the line can get tested ? "

When British right-wing populist leader Nigel Farage announced he was resigning as a lawmaker and triggering a special election in the face of a swirl of allegations over personal financing, he sought the high ground, saying his constituents “should be the judges of my actions.”
Instead, rival parties united in dismissing his actions as a stunt, leaving his only opponent to be a garbage-can wearing comedian whose policies include forcing rule-breaking cyclists to ride unicycles. https://t.co/ZY0Aq4PEqq
In politics, we’re torn between ideals and practicalities, aspirations and realities, the world as we want it, and as we find it
But one day a manifesto comes along that reconciles both in every pledge.
A rare moment of clarity and hope

🚨🇦🇷🇪🇬 Rio Ferdinand: “Football Needs Fairness, Not Different Rules For Different Teams”
🗣️ “I’ve sat here and watched football for many years, both as a player and as a pundit, and what frustrates supporters the most is inconsistency.
When Argentina go down under a challenge, the whistle seems to come immediately. The officials are quick to spot the foul, quick to stop play and quick to protect them. But when Egypt are on the receiving end of similar incidents, suddenly the game is allowed to continue and everyone is told to move on.
That’s the issue people have tonight. Not the result itself, but the lack of consistency in the decision-making.
Then you look at the build-up to Enzo Fernández’s winning goal. Egypt were screaming for a foul, their players were surrounding the referee, and millions watching expected VAR to at least take a proper look at it. Instead, it felt like everyone in the VAR room had gone to sleep.
What exactly is VAR there for if not to review the biggest moments in the biggest matches?
If that incident happened against Argentina at the other end of the pitch, do you honestly believe it wouldn’t have been checked? I find that very difficult to believe. We’ve seen much softer incidents reviewed throughout this tournament.
That’s where the frustration comes from. Fans just want the same standard applied to every team.
And let’s talk about the disciplinary side of the game. Argentina seem to get away with an awful lot. There are challenges that would normally bring yellow cards, yet the referee appears reluctant to reach for his pocket. It’s almost as if officials are afraid of making decisions that might upset Argentina.
When you look at some of Argentina’s matches in this tournament, there have been several moments where opponents felt hard done by. One incident can be debated, two incidents can be debated, but eventually people start noticing a pattern.
Football cannot afford that perception. The integrity of the game depends on supporters believing that every nation is treated equally.
Whether you’re Argentina, Egypt, Brazil, France or anyone else, the laws of the game should not change depending on the badge on your shirt.
The officials tonight had a responsibility to be fair, balanced and brave. Instead, they have left millions of people questioning why some decisions are given so easily for one side while similar incidents involving the other side are ignored.
Football deserves better than that. The players deserve better than that. And the fans certainly deserve better than that.”

It was supposed to be a by-election with the purpose for Nigel Farage of clearing his name in the court of public opinion, or at least in a people’s court consisting of Clacton-on-Sea’s voters.
He may have gambled and lost already.
The point is that the Tories were the only credible challengers to Farage’s Reform in that seat. And Kemi Badenoch has chosen not to field a candidate. Also Restore UK’s founder and Farage’s nemesis, Rupert Lowe, is doing - or not doing - similar.
Their view is that parliament’s quasi judicial process should be respected, such that when Farage is re-elected - and it is a “when” with no rival candidates from the right, and no Labour candidate either - the investigation by parliament’s standards commissioner would resume.
Their assumption is that Farage’s failure to disclose the £5m gift from the crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne - and possibly other gifts too - is a breach of their disclosure rules. This brings the risk for Farage that he would be suspended long enough from the Commons for the Clacton burghers to petition that there should be another by-election.
So Farage would fight two by-elections before Christmas. He presumably believes that for many voters a double dose of campaigning for an MP at the seaside would bring Parliament and “the establishment” into disrepute.
Per contra, Badenoch and Starmer, and
Burnham too, presume that it would be Farage who - unusually - would look the fool.
Makerfield was a history-making by-election that toppled a prime minister. Clacton-on-Sea won’t topple Farage but it seems unlikely to do him any good.
This is the most Nigel Farage thing Nigel Farage has ever done. Stand down in the safest seat Reform holds, then stand again so he can win it back and say: “See? 20,000 people voted for me, so we can all forget about my dodgy billionaire mate.”
He is such a fucking drama queen.
Labour, Tories, Lib Dems and Greens: I demand you stand down in Clacton. I will be a unity candidate and pledge to build at least one affordable house.
Nigel Farage says he wants The People versus the Establishment. So be it.
Leave him to me.
If Belgium loses the Round of 16 match but wins a retrospective appeal at the CAS after the 2026 World Cup has concluded, it would trigger the biggest institutional crisis in football history, resulting in massive financial compensation but no physical replay.

Just to be clear, then. FIFA:
1) can't possibly intervene when Iran are forced to move, a referee is denied a visa, or fans are barred from the USA
2) can absolutely intervene when a decision goes against the USA that Donald Trump doesn't like
Smashing. All know where we stand
🚨🗣️ José Mourinho on FIFA overturning Folarin Balogun's red card following Donald Trump's intervention:
"Everyone is acting so shocked today. Everyone is crying about politics and Donald Trump making phone calls to Gianni Infantino to change the rules. But why are we surprised? The integrity of this tournament was thrown in the trash in the very first week.
All this started when FIFA let Lionel Messi escape a clear red card for a studs-up challenge. When you decide that the rules do not apply to the poster boy, you open the door for everyone else. If the referee's monitor can be ignored for Argentina's captain to protect the brand, why can't a suspension be ignored for the United States President?
Folarin Balogun gets a red card, Trump makes a call, and suddenly FIFA finds a magic 'Article 27' to let him play against Belgium. It is a circus. We are no longer watching a World Cup, we are watching a political reality show where the rulebook is just a suggestion based on who you are and who is watching."
Candace Owens, the Tate brothers, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tulsi Gabbard, all Russian shills actively promoting tired conspiracy theories to smear Ukraine and support Russia.
Why together, why now?
Because Russia is desperate, and they are losing their war.
I’d like to remind everyone that four years ago, the online morons obsessed with “biolabs in Ukraine” were dead serious when they claimed that Russia was “forced” to invade Ukraine because scientists there were developing “viruses” capable of selectively killing only ethnic Russians.
Yes, it’s all that imbecilic.
