@mikehoffmann This doesn’t work unless you quit your W2 job. Passive depreciation, gain, and loss can’t be used to offset earned ordinary income beyond $3000. This strategy only works to ensure the income earned exclusive to the vending business itself is tax free.

People in the comments seem not to understand that you can easily lose your lunch on a project. It was only a $30k profit margin, it takes one unknown variable to wipe it out.
