@dianwyntjes @AHS_media That is misleading. When you call 911 it's answered by PSAP (the people who ask fire/police/ambulance) and then it gets forwarded to a dispatch centre based on your location and what service you request, the picture on the left is skipping a step.

We wait for police on potentially violent scenes, because they have training in use of force, and have tools to defend themselves we aren't.

Assaults on EMS workers need to be tracked more closely, because often charges aren't laid making the statistics appear lower than they are.
