Every supply chain runs on exceptions: a late shipment, a mismatched invoice, a price that drifted. @fragmentdata turns a company's own knowledge into action to resolve them, starting with direct procurement. Proud to back the team as they announce $56M in total funding. https://t.co/6m9OuVUKSa
Pranav is the kind of person who reads algebraic geometry textbooks on plane rides for fun, so of course he’d fall in love with a problem most people would find unglamorous.
In June 2025, he quit his job to go all in on @fragmentdata. He’d known for a long time that it needed to exist, and that Naveen was the only person he’d build it with. He set the bar at something necessary enough to work on for the next 20+ years, and while most startups pivot every few weeks, he never did. I’ve never met someone whose conviction runs this deep.
That’s what gets you through the long days at the office + every weekend + the crazy road of selling to enterprises + all the ups and downs. When you love what you do, and you do it with people you love, working all the time is kind of the best thing ever :)
It’s not just Pranav. Everyone at Fragment is exceptional and owns so much. Go to a Fun Fragment Friday, where they cook for each other, and you’ll see it. I’ve never seen an office with cooler hobbies and quirks.
No team more deserving, and this is just the beginning. So proud @pranavmulgund ❤️
Fragment launches from stealth today with $56M of funding. We co-led their seed round and are excited to participate in the Series A, led by our friends at @8vc.
Enterprise software has automated transactions for decades. But when something goes wrong, people still have to fix it. @fragmentdata changes that with AI agents that investigate and resolve complex exceptions, starting with direct procurement.
Many manufacturers run on exceptions that their software can’t resolve, @fragmentdata's agents resolve them end to end.
Today, Fragment comes out of stealth with $56M in total funding. General Catalyst co-led their seed round, and are back to support their Series A. Listen to @pranavmulgund and @stopitnaveen discuss the procurement and economic impact of the iPhone in this short clip.

Enterprise software has spent decades digitizing paperwork while leaving the hardest work to people. We're changing that.
Today, we’re launching @fragmentdata with $56 million in funding, including a Series A led by @8vc and a seed co-led by @generalcatalyst and @A_StarVC, with angels including @roelofbotha, @nikesharora, and @jeffawilke.
@larrenwong Ooh this is an interesting thought. Ultimately it would come down to the mother of my child, but my initial instinct would be to go surrogate for the reasons you mentioned. Not sure about faking the pregnancy though, I’d feel disingenuous to my fans.
@NotPoliticsman That’s a good point and I think that the version you like or retweet should be the version that is displayed on your timeline and to your followers
@davidjustodavid@largedatabank +1 https://t.co/H0ng6Oiqd9, it does a good job keeping your attention on what needs it. Also has some great configurations, for example, you can click on a line and it’ll open in your local text editor. Helpful for when you’re addressing comments and making requested changes.
