I am excited to present a poster of my research findings on the impact of first names in everyday interactions at the Words in the World International Conference (WOW2023)!
It's a startling stat that Dr. Charlene Senn wants to lower. 'About 50 per cent of all of the rapes that are experienced by women happen by the time we're 18,' explained the UWindsor professor who created an education program at the university for women. https://t.co/eIr8PeraXw
I am very excited to announce a new publication in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence today! This paper, written with Charlene Senn and the amazing @nicolekjeffrey, explores an important methodological concern in retrospective self-report surveys.

R fans! If you or your students want a gentle, free intro to R programming, check out "R for the Intimidated" by @bugsized (my favorite scientist). It was on @DataCamp (h/t @jtleek) but they removed it, so @bugsized put all 27 lessons on @youtube https://t.co/YPy9ICed9C
We saw many amazing presentations at #CPA2023 & are pleased to announce the winner of the 2023 @CPA_SWAP Student Presentation Award, @storm_balint, for her presentation "Women's Experiences of Sexuality and Sexual Safety Under Constrained Choice: A Systematic Review." @CPA_SCP
Totally agree. Unpaid internships unfairly disadvantage poor students. Also, encouraging unpaid practica perpetuates the (false) belief that uncompensated labour is somehow moral, and that the labour is not valuable (and that interns, as people, have no value).
Another Encyclopedia Entry out today!
