Russia and Israel share several interests in British politics. Both gain from Islamophobia. It serves Israel's anti-Palestinian objective and its conflict with the Iranian regime, while, ever since the days of Tony Blair, Putin has used the Islamist bogeyman to distract from his hybrid war against democracy, and to divide and weaken Western democracy.

Both Russia and Israel have more friends on the hard and far-right than on the liberal-left. So it is entirely consistent for both of them to work through political prostitutes like Traitor Tommy.
