I think work is still great. Motion design is oversaturated in general regardless software. But there is defo a decline, as new people are all in B3D.
Maxon thinks that they can get away with it or they dont understand as everything they do is wrong right now: from marketing to features and priorities, pricing etc.
Their presentations are unwatchable, as they choose speakers not based on their work but based on their location, the reliability of c4d as a software has declined a lot, the features and performance at this point is also way behind other 3d apps and yet the pricing is steep. When their focus is so scattered between AE plugins and whatever else, it just makes sense.

Redshift is also a cumbersome render engine, feels exhausting to work with it in real scenes and not when u have 3 objects on a white bg.
But yeah, everything is fine, even though everyone agrees on this topic, maxon seems to be living in their own bubble.

- Optics Logic: transmission, reflection, and refraction of light
- Phantom 3D: object rotation and invented structure absent from the keyframe image, mimicking 3D modeling behavior
- Autopilot Cinematography – the frame drifts and pans as if directed by some phantom camera operator

@aftelinagraphic @MaxonVFX Sadly, I feel the same. Recruiting new team members has been a disaster. All the young ones use Blender, the old pros - Houdini. I don't see any other way than a free Apprentice tier, new users should get in without friction!
