A new hub for innovation is set to rise in Gorakhpur as STPI prepares to inaugurate its 71st Centre in the historic city 🏢 ✨

The moment is almost here! STPI is all set to take its launchpad to the historic city of Gorakhpur, a Tier-II hub with immense potential — marking yet another bold step towards empowering the next wave of tech entrepreneurs across emerging cities.

✨ Shri Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath), Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, will inaugurate this landmark facility.

Built over ~25,000 sq. ft. in a Ground + 1 configuration, this state-of-the-art facility is designed to offer a robust ecosystem for startups, innovators, and IT companies. The 71st STPI Centre will feature 50-seater Plug & Play space, and ~12,000 sq. ft. of incubation space (6,000 sq. ft. raw and 6,000 sq. ft. semi-furnished).

The centre will also house an auditorium, conference and meeting rooms, a Network Operations Centre (NOC), a cafeteria, and more—creating a dynamic environment to foster innovation, collaboration, and growth.

Dr. Sanjay Tyagi, Jurisdictional Director, STPI, addressed the gathering at the inauguration of BTS 2025 at BIEC, highlighting STPI’s role in driving India’s digital and innovation ecosystem.

Dr. Tyagi highlighted Karnataka’s IT leadership, contributing 44% of India’s IT/ITES exports, with ₹4.6 lakh crore exports from 1,700+ STPI & EHTP units, projected to exceed ₹5.43 lakh crore in FY 2025–26.

He emphasized STPI’s role in driving the GCC Policy, with Karnataka hosting 30% of India’s GCC projects, and praised the LEAP initiative, which has supported 1,000+ startups with ₹50 lakh each, now studied globally. He also noted STPI’s impact through the India BPO Scheme, three Centres of Entrepreneurship in Karnataka, and 24 CoEs nurturing 1,034 startups nationwide.

At #BTS2025, the Startup Pavilion showcases 150 STPI-nurtured startups along with 100 from KDEM, presenting a strong cohort of 250 deep-tech innovators that reinforces Bengaluru’s position as India’s Startup Capital. He also highlighted STPI’s role in strengthening domestic manufacturing through the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster Schemes.

Dr. Tyagi extended heartfelt thanks to the Government of Karnataka & all partners for their continued support in building the future of Karnataka’s IT ecosystem and India’s digital economy.
