Shri Manas Ranjan Panda, Director, STPI-Bhubaneswar, in his opening remarks at the Startup–Industry Interaction Program organized by EmTeK CoE, STPI-Bhubaneswar, briefed the Executive Director and leadership team of SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on STPI’s pivotal role in fostering India’s innovation and startup ecosystem. He highlighted the initiatives of STPI and its CoEs in nurturing technology-driven startups, promoting innovation, and strengthening industry–startup collaboration. He also outlined Odisha’s growing Tech ecosystem and progressive policy framework aimed at boosting advanced manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and innovation-led enterprises.
The program provided a strategic platform for startups incubated under EmTeK CoE to showcase and pitch their innovative solutions before the leadership team of SAIL RSP. The interaction was aimed at exploring collaboration opportunities, facilitating pilot deployments, and enabling startups to scale their innovations through industry partnerships with one of India's leading Steel Manufacturers.

Highlighting STPI’s significant contribution to the growth of India’s IT industry, he noted “Software Technology Park of India has played a very important role in building India’s IT industry. A few years ago, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, a decision was taken to expand STPI centres to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Today, STPI centres are operational in Patna, as well as in Bhagalpur and Darbhanga in Bihar."

पटना में अश्विनी वैष्णव का बड़ा ऐलान: बिहार बनेगा IT, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और AI नवाचार का नया केंद्र

पटना। केंद्रीय रेल, सूचना एवं प्रौद्योगिकी तथा इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा कि भारत का आईटी उद्योग देश के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहा है।

उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में सॉफ्टवेयर टेक्नोलॉजी पार्क (STP) को टियर-2 और टियर-3 शहरों तक विस्तार दिया गया है। इसी कड़ी में बिहार के पटना, भागलपुर और दरभंगा में संचालित STP केंद्र स्टार्टअप्स को नई ऊर्जा प्रदान कर रहे हैं।

#WATCH पटना: केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा, "प्रधानमंत्री ने दिल्ली से वाराणसी होते हुए पटना को जोड़ने के लिए बूलेट ट्रेन का भी पिछले बजट में निर्णय लिया है। इससे बिहार को बहुत अच्छी सुविधा मिलेगी। पटना से दिल्ली की यात्रा मात्र 4 घंटे 41 मिनट की रह जाएगी। आगे पटना से सिलीगुड़ी तक बुलेट ट्रेन जाएगी। आने वाले समय में इसके लिए भी तैयारी शुरू हो गई है। पहली बुलेट ट्रेन अहमदाबाद से मुंबई के बीच में अगले साल शुरू होने वाली है।"

Mr. Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra, CEO, World Skill Center, Bhubaneswar, visited STPI Bhubaneswar (@StpiBbsr) and toured the advanced facilities at STPI ELITE and the CoE – Electropreneur Park (@STPIEPBBS).

During the visit, he interacted with the Jurisdictional Director and officials of STPI Bhubaneswar and appreciated STPI’s significant contributions to IT exports, startup incubation, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Odisha.

The discussions explored avenues for collaboration between STPI and the World Skill Center to strengthen industry-aligned skilling and innovation. By combining the World Skill Center’s world-class training ecosystem with STPI’s startup incubation and innovation support framework, the partnership aims to empower students and startups to transform industry-relevant skills into innovative products and technology ventures.

The collaboration is envisioned to provide mentorship, incubation support, industry exposure, and access to advanced #skilling facilities, enabling a seamless transition from skilling to entrepreneurship and fostering a stronger innovation and maker ecosystem in Odisha.
