Seeing questions about the LA federal judge order last week and what impact it has on this Sacramento immigration operation?
The answer is zero. Judge Frimpong’s order applies to the Central District of CA (7 SoCal Counties). Sacramento is in the Eastern District of CA, where there is a different federal judge’s order in effect barring immigration arrests without probable cause.
Agents tell us today’s Home Depot operation was in accordance with that order. They conducted two days of surveillance on the Home Depot, running license plates that came back to previously deported illegal immigrants, giving them a suspicion that aliens would be present there. Then, when they arrived in Border Patrol marked vests, those who immediately fled from them without a word being spoken gave them probable cause.
