@agronomeiste @MckinleyMatt @worrolong @HenryCrooke @dyerjonathan I think James is right if I converted my 15% grazing cereal to a legume I would be neutral or better for N but it would be too much in the system to control. It wouldn’t allow for limited moisture in some years

@agronomeiste @MckinleyMatt @worrolong @HenryCrooke @dyerjonathan We are 33% pure Lucerne pasture, 15% grazing cereals, the rest grain crops we are not neutral with synthetic N inputs but the amounts are greatly reduced. The downside N is not as easily controlled and stored deep moisture is gone till big rain events arrive

Protein at new block at Bribbaree, never been farmed, most people would be happy with 11% protein avg and we were, But we missed out on at least 1.7t/ha in the red areas so around 80ha. 2021 that area gets more urea to even protein and at same time ☝️ yield in lower protein zones

Going to give planet barley a rare 👍 it’s had it all yield, quality, winter grazing and now those stubbles will be sheep feed for a long time to come

I went back for the shearers sake they are good blokes doing a good job they deserve to be looked after

@coyle_tim @cropmad @agronomybrady @propfarmer @MulraneyAnthony @John_R_Bruce @paradooprime I haven’t seen anybody mention welfare and conditions for the shearers I Always find myself roucabouting mainly picking up at shearing and our shearers definitely Prefer mulsed even on plain bodied sheep, I want to make their job easier not harder
