James Copenhaver has died more than two years after he was gravely wounded during the assassination attempt at President Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

He was 76 a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and a veteran who proudly served our nation. For the final two years of his life, he endured the lasting effects of wounds suffered on a day that should never have happened. His family says he faced every challenge with extraordinary strength and resolve.

That horrific attack took the life of Corey Comperatore, wounded President Trump, and left Mr. Copenhaver and David Dutch with life-altering injuries. It also exposed profound security failures that must never be forgotten or repeated.

Today, however, the focus should be on James Copenhaver: the life he lived, the family he loved and the country he faithfully served. May his loved ones find comfort in his courage, his patriotism and the legacy he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Mr. Copenhaver. America honors your service, mourns your passing and owes your family lasting accountability. AW

UPDATE: I have not received any official or unofficial communication back from the WNBA regarding my eligibility. I will say as a Black Trans lesbian, the rumors of denial for my multi-spirit existence are concerning. I’d also like to remind everyone there is a Trans genocide taking place right now in America. If the “sources” are true, I would like to see the league take immediate action to correct anybody who refuses to affirm my identity or use my pronouns pay/me. 🚨 MAJOR SCOTUS VICTORY on Mail-in-Ballots Rules...Lifts Ban on 23 States

The Supreme Court has just overruled a block placed by an Obama Judge preventing Trump's Executive Order to implement safeguards for Mail-in-Ballots.

The ruling now means states must:

-Turn over a list of every voter getting a ballot

-Put unique serialized barcodes on both the outgoing and return envelopes

If a state refuses, USPS will not deliver those ballots.

This is a major election integrity win.
