2026 MCMS Football Legends Night!!

I’m sure we could all write a book on the stories told on a grass football field!

From Mason County Knights to Mason County High school football many great men walked this field

We are excited to play a game on our grass field!

[Michael Krause @THEMikeTU]

Fun fact. If you have a kid on a high school football team, talk to the Head Coach. Ask how to be involved more. Create a group of dads that help load/unload equipment to help set up the field/press box, you COULD never pay to get into a game, and your kid/team will notice.

[Coach Chip @ChipSeagle]

REAL coaching is not about recruiting a bunch of dudes and teaching them to do things that only dudes can do well.
REAL coaching is taking athletically average kids who have been getting off the cheese wagon at your school for years and teaching them to play basic fundamentally sound football with great effort.

"I don't treat everyone the same.

Because every player has a different personality.

But, I do treat everyone fairly."

[Preston Troyer @CoachFBInsights]

Don’t chase the “next great offense.”

Build your own.

Install it. Call it. Watch it struggle.

Fix it. Run it again.

When it’s yours, you adapt faster. You teach it better. You believe in it more.

Stop copying systems. Create one.

@tscaggswftm Thanks Travis for the support. We have a great group of kids and awesome family support. Always love the battles with Fleming. A lot of great people In Flemingsburg

[Travis Scaggs @tscaggswftm]

8th Grade football: Mason County 30, Fleming County 16.

I’ll say this the environment was electric.
Estep has a bright future for MC. Fritz (FC) I believe is a 7th grader and is a good QB as well.

[Steven Truesdell @struesdell52]

Awesome group of young men!! Thankful I get to be their coach and part of their journey. Football takes a lot of sacrifices and we want to thank those that make the sacrifices so we can play this great game

[Travis Scaggs @tscaggswftm]

"We are cheating our kids in the biggest way if we are just coaching the sport.

7.6% will play beyond high school, but 100% will be adults.

And what kind of adults do we want to live around?

What are we doing to get them ready to compete in life?"

[Steven Truesdell @struesdell52]

There has been several kids that stood in front of this door thats turned into great men! Looking forward to the future of these guys and watching them turn into great men!! The energy and attitude these guys bring each and every night is something special.
