From 2013–2020 it reached nearly 1 million readers and documented real experiments growing an app on the App Store.
But the ecosystem has changed dramatically.
• ASO is harder.
• Ad spend on Meta and TikTok has exploded.
• AI built apps are flooding the store.
So I’m rebooting the series in 2026.
I’ll be running a new set of experiments, including:
• Screenshot A/B tests
• Ad campaigns
• Localised pricing changes
• Custom Product Page experiments
• Anything else that comes up!
And I’ll share what worked, what didn’t, and the data behind it.

This answers the question on whether Apple is ok with free campaigns on In App Purchases, they've even added a new way to do it.
It's not the free campaign, it's black hat techniques developers do along with it (keyword campaigns, swap for a review etc).
